Just my opinion but the points dropped from winning positions is bollocks. 1-0 with 60minutes to play isn't a winning position. 1-0 with 3mins to play is. 2-0 is a winning position. We didn't drop points today we got a very good result.
I think 1-0 up is a winning position, because if you stay in that position then you win. So on paper we dropped points, however you have to look at that in context and today doesn’t feel like we dropped points. Although it’s frustrating Armstrong missed 2 chances it’s promising he is getting them, on another day he’ll get a brace.
Having watched it again on MOTD2 last night I can safely say he has either gone blind or is just a massive Man United loving ****.
Far more likely than pro man United . Doesn’t he steel feel some kind of way about how his time managing her went and ended? Even though regimes are completely different
Watched the game a couple of times now and the injury time was about right in line with the stoppages. Unusually short for a Man U game though.Fortunately they didn't have a Cavani on the bench.
Missing some pace and first touch, only games can give that and he's been out for ages, he'll get better
Feeling more positive after this match....though that be more to do with being a typically unhinged Saints fan than reality. .
He still has a chip on his shoulder from when he was Saints manager. I suspect it is something to do with Ali Dia (not joking). In is mind he probably thinks its all Saints fault.
It's always quite interesting to read an opponent's match thread on their forum after a match. I'm only on the 2nd page of their match thread on RedCafe and the amount of people thinking we're ****ed is quite something. I look forward to the pre-match confidence evaporating later on in the thread.
It was a fantastic (and for me unexpected) result. Salisu in particular was immense - credit to Stephens as well. Really happy. I still wonder if we are a bit light at CM for the season. Think we need a backup for Romeu that has a bit of a physical presence.
The new dictates? You mean the ones whereby if you make a tackle and win the ball fairly it isn’t a foul? Weren’t those always the rules apart from when playing away from home at big teams when said teams were struggling for a result?
Always look to the bookmakers. Far less passion involved. They have six teams below us last I checked
Precisely, last season it would have been an instant foul and possibly a yellow card if a player waved as much as a feather at the divers.
