Younger loaned out, With a recall option. Wright, Arby and Alves competing with Flanagan and Doyle and acting as back up for injuries and suspensions. Wright released at the end of the season. Just my opinion, could be wrong!

Tbh. It would be daft to expect him to come back after a year out. Even in full training he'll need at least 6 or more games to get match fit. Certainly wouldn't get rid of BW
I'd not expect him to be back near the first team until November at the earliest.....thats if all goes well??

Yeah i agree that Younger will be loaned out and Wright will be the one to get the axe.

Bailey Wright will stay until Jan i think. We have a sh#t load of fixtures between now and especially over the Xmas period. Like you say Xhemajli will need breaking in slowly, we cant rely on him playing twice a week for a long time yet.

Younger, Wright and Arby are all out of contract end of season so if younger goes out on loan he will need a new deal otherwise there is no point. Will he sign one though? He doesn't seem to get a look in.

its criminal how Younger isn't getting a look in, we need to be bringing him on for 30 mins a match, just to get him used to playing in matches, and working out what the other defenders will do in situations,so he is match ready for injuries, otherwise i can see him refusing a new contract and he will get snapped up for peanuts and it will be to our detriment, Get a grip if you want academy lads to progress give them match time

He came in from Burnley as well so a higher level to where we are now. Strange he has never had a loan earlier or more of a run. He has looked decent whenever he gets a chance in the odd cup game but then disappears back to the U23s. I think he will be away, and so will Wright. Arby will get game time in the cups and a new deal imo.

I suspect you are right mate but what does a young player have to do to get some game time, Younger has never put a foot wrong and has shown cracking potential,we have Neil Younger Diamond off the top of my head all great players who really need to be playing regulary

Unless he takes a 2yr deal and goes out on loan then I think he will go at the end of the season. Johnson might not fancy him to play the way he wants to (was it Parky who signed Younger? I can't remember). There might be someone in the u18s who the gaffer thinks can step up and play the new style better maybe. But Younger isn't a bad defender at all.

Younger is decent, I think he has a chance but it's clear Johnson doesn't fancy him. He played Power and O'Nien ahead of him last season and the lad hasn't ad a look in this. Needs to go out on loan and find a new club IMHO

Doyle and Flanagan are 1st choice, Wright and Alves backup until Xhemajli is fit enough to replace Wright in that respect

Younger has always looked like a reliable player with potential to me but I agree that it seems clear that Johnson doesn't rate him. All I can go off is what I've seen and he's been absolutely fine for his age and experience.

One of the best debuts in recent years was Youngers first half display in the Fleetwood cup game last year, it was on a par with Callum Doyle's intro, I'm not saying he is as good and the age difference comes into it also, but I could not understand LJ's reluctance to play him when Dion Sanderson was ruled out, or when he hauled him off after 50 mins leaving jokers like Callum McFuz on the pitch who was having one of his regular stinkers. After the promotion of Patterson to first team duty, the U23's defence is looking very shaky and only held together by Younger so if he is loaned out he will be a huge miss at that level, a level in which he has excelled since his arrival. Reading between the lines it is obvious that Youngers best interests are to move on, which is a great shame for him, and SAFC, that he has never been given a real chance, especially when he was the obvious choice.
