Game over.

Crazily poor defending but midfield was god awful and made it wickedly poor.

Henderson was shot through.

Jones was a passenger most of second half. Never got near kdb who just stood on his side and was free all half didnt get that he needed to do that job.

That teams not winning us a league now. Too many gone over the hill there. Summer transfer window and all of that.

 

Shame Salahs goal didn't win it, but what an awful performance, really missed Trent too

 

Jones was the only midfield to get his foot on the ball and make things happen. He was the only one that wanted to retain possession!

 

Prob take a draw before the game abs by sounds of it first half we were lucky to be level.

shame after taking the lead twice that we’ve then conceded. Same happened once we got ahead v Brentford.

Team not looking as solid as it has done. Hendo must have been told to push on more but it’s really costing us defensively as leaving fab with too much to do and team targeting us down that right, especislly with Milner there.

 

Don't know what to say about that.
Terrible first half, as bad as I've seen us play for a long time. Front three hardly touched the ball.
Better in the second and wonderful goals, but can't help thinking we should have done better.
Yet again Milner - who had a poor game throughout - gets away with murder, don't know how he does it.
I suppose a draw was a fair result, but I can't say I'm happy about it.

 

Still unbeaten which is good boost for the team. Only down side is gone draw v 10 men chelsea and home draw at home to city.

ideally always want to win your home game up first as puts less pressure on the away fixture. Now we need to make sure don’t lose both those reverse games.

 

Jones needs to look at Bernado Silva. He has the ability but rarely used it today. Pi0 felt we passed it to square in the middle and no one seemed to want to dribble.

Great game and fair result. Happy Trent and This to get to get fit so Henderson cannot play that awful with competition lurking

We were defending majority of the game so obviously he was quiet, but he wasn't ****. When we had possession he was decent, much more productive than the other midfielders.

Difficult to qualify. On the second half I'm disappointed we didn't win. Taking into account the first half I'm grateful we managed to get a draw.

I think the biggest thing I'm pissed off about is the same 11 played both halves but the difference in performance levels was shocking. Why do they need a half time bollocking to start playing?

Last year the defence cost us the league, this year its the midfield turn. Henderson seems to have aged 5 years in few months. As much as like jones, I'm unsure he has the confidence to play at this level. After that it's sicknotes.

 

Foden always plays well against us, I reckon he's a secret Liverpool fan. ****!

 

The midfield has been poor for the last 2 years.

 

Watching the first half, I felt we were trying to contain them with the intention of pushing them in the second. Opposite to our usual 'all guns blazing' starts were normally go for.

 

Feel sorry for Salah second time he has scored a world class goal only to be pegged back. This and the Spurs game in his first season

 

the defence only cost us the league because they were all injured. and we were playing 2 midfielders in central defence

the midfield is not good enough full stop. Fab is a brilliant defensive midfielder but the rest of the midfield leaves a lot to be desired.

 

Overall, I’m happy with a point…..there were large periods of the game when I thought we’d not get anything, so the draw is ok.

However, the way we conceded the second goal is unforgivable…..and we did the exact same thing against Brentford. What is wrong with consolidating our position and just shoring stuff up? Our midfield were missing for a lot of that match…..and we lacked a playmaker….how many long balls?

Anyway….take the draw and move on.

 

I hope the first half wasn't tactical, if so it was the wrong choice, we just looked inept.
