Is that what it was? I knew it was something along them lines... There's loads of ways around it and when they close down one avenue another one will open. You won't be able to 'Man City it' it's going to be a slow build but what it will do assuming you survive this season, is it will consolidate you in the top half of the premier league. Probably competing with the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester and West Ham, in a few years.
If we stay up yeah. I am a lot more comfortable with us going down now because we have the safety net of some investment and a real strategy next season. If we for example went down with Bruce as manager and Ashley as owner, I think League One would have been our destiny, until the consortium sign on the dotted line we are a sinking ship. As I've said, top half would be a dream. We can't suddenly forget what the past years have been like, an absolute **** show.
I'll be perfectly honest mate. I couldn't give a ****e about them or what they might do. I grew out of that 30 years ago.
Now that would be funny as ****, if the Saudis did a Wimbledon and relocated and renamed the team 'New Malden United'
was bound to happen at some point though...there will be no living with the feckers if this goes through. never the feckin mind though lads, we still have KLD and a plan that is taking shape which hopefully means we will never need to rely just on the hope that he needs to bail us out every year and if/when the bottom drops out of the premier league (remember what happened in italy) we will still be able to keep ticking over.
In todays climate i don't think i'd have wanted us taken over by oil based finance. A lot of car manufacturers are moving away from fossil fuel technology and have already announced that they're phasing out petrol/deisel vehicles. To put it simply within the next 10 years the money gained from oil will slowly start to reduce and the mags could potentially go from one of the richest to one of the poorest in a short space of time. Well that's my glass half full take on oit anyway
The Mirror, after saying Bruce will be sacked, 250million on players and training ground etc it then says "But most importantly, the fans will have "hope" again. Hope? This will just be the start of the media w@£kathon.
Only a few years ago you had a Russian Oligarch running Chelsea, A Middle East Sheikh Running Man City, also had Liverpool and Man Utd spending ridiculous sums of money, yet a small well run club......Leicester City won the premiership. I'm happy with the way Sunderland are headed, good luck to the Mags as right now they are totally irrelevant to us.
It would be a bonus for LNER though as the 52,000 screaming geordies travel to London for their home games Might even get a few of them relocating Win win
They can spend what they like on stadium and training ground. You cant polish a turd. We know they cant go nuts on signings due to FFP. Hope they end up like Watford, hiring and firing every few months.
There was a lad on talkshite last night saying “the markets must be gutted”. Almost his first thought was that!! Then he said he wants Eddie Howe as manager! One manager who simply always failed with money at Bournemouth!! Please get him. It’d be funny to watch the Saudis try to sell the club because they’ve not hot what they expected!!
Jesus just had a look on RTG. There’s some right dripping fannies over there. That Mackem2017 is almost in tears, it’s embarrassing.
