I do see a loss of pace affecting him. It's still a crucial asset. I'd hope at least 2-3 more years in him before it starts to take hold. You might say pace doesn't affect Bobby either but it really does. He looks a yard slower now and it does impact just getting on the ball.
Could see Salah doing what Ronaldo has done later in his career. Move inside and become a penalty box striker. Salah still be deadly in front of goal and has played centrally for us at times
Thing with Salah is, he is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, he's getting better. His all round game is so much better compared to when he first joined - it sounds strange because you would think his first season (32 goals) would be his best season but I actually think he is now a much more rounded footballer. More than just a goal scorer, he's one our best creators, incredibly hard working and he's someone who digs deep when the going gets tough. Physically, he's hardly been injured since joining and looks incredibly fit.
Mane and Salah are different types of player, credit to both for tracking back to defend whenever we lost the ball. Mane needs to score more goals to be appreciated like Salah. Since joining Liverpool Salah has never been given a red card and the only red card in Mane's name was at the Etihad which was harsh. They are both good players.
Seem plenty of games when Salah's not give a **** about getting back, same for Mane. Think Salah's is usually tactical though whereas Mane is out if frustration (usually at himself)
you have to read the above as a woman or something. I've seen someone report an alleged offense and someone then say maybe we should buy him and then someone else have a jape about getting him cheap, quickly followed by another comment about prison. That might be read as the alleged sexual offense doesn't even matter. Just think about it. its either snowflakery or its trying to see the other side. which is often insulted as being "woke"
if you want to make jokes that trivialise sexual assault go right ahead, nobody is stopping you. yet if i simply point out that's what you might (emphasis on might) be doing, i get challenged and called "snowflake"
its a very much accelerating link. I think there might even be a kernal of truth somewhere in it. Right age 19 Right club (salzburg not leipzig or dortmund) right position Striker who can play wide forward positions Right price 25-35mil max Reasonable amount of goals and accelerating as he grows up and masses of assists too. Right experience (IMO) getting CL exposure now. We have a gap IMO in the squad more upfront than in midfield and the gap is developing more and more. If we can do this and have an option here to be ready for the future then great.
This is te type or signing would like us to make once in a while. It’s a bit of a gamble but it’s a gamble on a kid that’s got huge potential and is currently performing at CL and league level. Get him before he goes to a European club and becomes a 60/70m player.
