The crosses into the box are more or less all from the same area, very few come from the bye line, which would make it easier for the forward to come on to the ball and more difficult to defend. Sometimes a right-footed winger on the right might be an option when things are not working and vice versa. Also, what is the point of 30 crosses into a smallish 1.78m forward, it doesn't take an expert to see why out of the 30 crosses non was reached by our players against big defenders?

I am convinced he has been told by Ehab that is the way we play, as that is the Philosophy of the club, and he has to stick with that. Even when asked about the Boro game, he still won't admit to a change of system just that he tweaked the 433 on the day.

Watching these games is like watching replays, we do the same week in week out with the same outcome. We play some nice football box to final third, but just don't look like scoring and look vulnerable to set pieces in our box. Against Boro, through necessity, he had to change things and we did look more threatening, not a lot, but a bit more than normal. So he goes back to a small forward down the middle and hits crosses into the box, with the inevitable outcome.

The height of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again with the same negative outcome, he just isn't a Championship manager, has no tactical awareness, and keeps repeating the same mistakes.

On the game, I thought Greaves and Bernard were out better performers. KLP looks the most likely threat forward wise, Cannon worked hard, but isn't that effective, we looked better once Smallwood went off and Docherty came on. Eaves also looked more threatening when he came on, but he should have started or at least given more time. Coyle is okay, but I think Emanuel gives us more. Honeyman obviously needs to get up to speed, but had some nice touches. Wilk's at the moment is a waste of space, this 2 weeks of extra training McCann said they would get into him will help him, well I didn't see it.

I was prepared to give McCann his chance at this level, but he just isn't good enough. Their manager totally out thought him, and he had no idea how to react.

But if as some think he’s gone when the takeover happens and he knows it, or regardless of a takeover he must be on thin ice. So I’d think **** this I’m going to do it a different way and try to go out with a few wins on my cv. He’s got nothing to lose

I disagree it was a far better performance against boro. And we did look dangerous.

Say what you want. This is on McCann. For whatever reason, changing formation was absolutely idiotic and naive. At least give the 352 another go, it worked, give the same players a chance to prove themselves in that setup. If your 4-0 down after 30 minutes then change it. It’s absolute basic management.

Also I’ve said it time and time again. If we had an experienced centre half to organise people at corners and head the effing ball we’d go a lot better. It was exactly the same two years ago. Play as well as you want for 90 minutes if you concede from set pieces your doomed.

Clear the lot of our back room and boardroom for me.

Are these the “if we took our chances” terry refers to?
these aren’t chances, they are hopeful punts into the box hoping (yesterday) our small striker gets on the end of

Huddersfield Town boss admits to surprise at Hull City's starting XI
The Tigers' return from the international break was a frustrating one as Grant McCann's men were beaten on the road again

Huddersfield Town chief Carlos Corberan admitted Hull City’s team selection surprised him, after masterminding a 2-0 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

The former Leeds United assistant boss expected Grant McCann to continue with the three at the back he deployed in the win over Middlesbrough, but City returned to their favoured 4-3-3 variant.

While City played their part in a pulsating Yorkshire derby, albeit largely one short on quality, but were up against it after just nine minutes when Tom Lees bundled in after a Matt Ingram error.

City had chances throughout failing to take any and then afforded Duane Holmes space to fire in a second in the closing stages.

“They played with one extra defender that I wasn’t expecting them to play,” Corberan said.

“The game was exactly what I was expecting to see. I knew their energy would be high, but I knew the level of our players would also be high.

“We defended well at the start and created opportunities in attack. After we scored, we kept our focus on defending as Hull took more risks and played from the back.

“They created numerical advantages in the middle, but the mentality of our team was strong in defence.

“The result could have been at risk before the second goal, that was key to getting the three points.

“It is simple, when you don’t concede you have at least one point. After that it is important we attack and go for goals.

“The fact that we attack doesn’t mean we have to be defensive, it is about the balance and we had that today.

“We can always improve and keep growing. The collective spirit in the team to defend the points we had was good today.

“The more games that we play together the more stable we can feel.”

I feel wrong for saying this...but slowly just drifting further away from being bothered.

    And?
If you don’t think we looked better and played better against boro that’s fine.
    I and many others do.
And we got a result by changing our system. We changed back and got beat! Again.

what would you do next? I know what I’d do.

I agree. The 3 forwards he played might add to their value, the two on the bench are not going to ever sell for big money, so you may be right.

That is The Allams legacy to you & thousands of others. 2 complete idiots who know nothing about how to run a football club or how to treat life long supporters. As long as they keep earning 2 million a year in interest payments they are going nowhere. We are stuck with McCann & his 4-3-3 formation that will take City straight back down to Div1. Papa Allam couldn’t care less as long as those payments keep coming in to the Allamhouse Ltd bank account.

Jose Allam is picking the team. Got to be. You don't change a winning formation.

I too believe that is the case. We've heard enough said to know it's the 'philosophy' of the club, that players have been recruited with that in mind, etc. I expect it came from the combination of Ehab and Darnborough.
But it doesn't excuse McCann one bit. He's stupid for going along with it so rigidly. It's his job to change things when needed. He's either incapable or a puppet. Either way, he's not the manager the players need, and we are likely going back down unless something gives.

Puppet that’s why he so comfortably in his role no fear of losing his job.
The system is picked he just does what he is told.

I didn’t go yesterday I’ll probably go on Wednesday but if it’s the same team sheet and system I’ll **** off. Then Luton I promised my dad I’d go but can’t be arsed to be honest.
