He shouldn't. He should walk because he isn't up to it. But! I understand why he will not put himself out of a job. He isn't helping himself though. The owner should make the call. I know that is funny.

He’s a radio journalist who has been around the club for many years.

So no reason given for us being 'a joke of a club'?

Sounds like the type of RL banter you used to hear in the pubs of Hull in the early 80s

I suppose it was a total fluke. Just like Middlesbrough.

We did have the rub of the green at Deepdale. We played better on Wednesday and ended up losing. Funny old game.

Why would you deny paying supporters the right to vent their feelings? I wasn't chanting by tthe way, I was sat in silence in W11, watching the demise of another match, wondering if we might grab an equaliser, knowing deep down , we don't have the players, the guile the nouse to do it.

The 2 wins and 3 creditable draws we've had are no more flukes than the 8 defeats are bad luck.

Luck can affect the outcome of individual games, but when you're over a quarter of the season in and in the bottom 3 then it isn't down to bad luck.

I'm not denying anyone anything. Just feel its detrimental to the players when it's done during a game.

I choose not to. You do what you choose to do but it will negatively affect the performance.

If people feel that is necessary to try and force change then that's their call, but I don't go to a game to put even more pressure on the lads in the shirt who are clearly lacking confidence to start with. I just won't kick them when they're already down.

I have no issue with folk calling for change, just feel there's a time and a place to do so and IMHO it isn't making the loudest chant during a home game with a rival one which attacks our own side.

I agree with you on this. I generally liked Bruce but the ‘little old Hull’ comments and constantly telling us the club wouldn’t exist without the Allams, therefore we should support the name change, rubbed me the wrong way.

The name change put Bruce in a difficult position I felt.

Anyone who's been employed will know what happens when you publicly criticise your bosses in a professional capacity.

I don't agree with some of the policies I have to adhere to on a daily basis, but I'm not about to start expressing that in public whilst on the job. Bruce didn't want the name change, he just didn't want the distraction of it.

I'm not agreeing that the club wouldn't exist, but without Allams investment at that particular time, we wouldn't have been a Premier league/top end championship club and we wouldn't have had Bruce as manager.

I can see what he was getting at, but can't say I appreciated the way he said it.

Nah, there’s a difference between being tight-lipped over decisions by your boss that you don’t necessarily agree with and the persistent, condescending comments Bruce made about the Allams saving City and how much fans should be grateful to them and support the name change.

Maybe. I didn't interpret his comments that way, but I can see how anyone could.

Yeah, and the ‘little old Hull’ comments as if we were some country bumpkins who only recently discovered fire during the time he was manager. I mean, frigging hell, Newcastle is no Paris either, Steve.

Suspect SB was gently mocking the media at the time and how they patronised the small clubs in the PL.

    No drama please.

Not saying you were saying that. Just that we're not where we are down to luck.

Maybe you're making assumptions that aren't there?
