Been a while but couldn't JWP play on the right, instead of Theo? I know he's not really one for the silky skills and mazy runs, but his crossing ability would be useful.
While we're at it, Prowsie on the right, Stu Armstrong on the left. I'm liking it. Who's got Ralph's number?
Watford can be dangerous going forward, like we saw at Goodison. But their defending can be a complete disaster as well. We've got to go on the attack on Saturday - we will get chances.
He has a good delivery on him but we are already lacking goals and I don't think playing a CM there would help. We need Stu Armstrong back for sure and as we have said so many times, it seems a no brainer to try out Tino and KWP down the right. Still not convinced Redmond should be starting, especially after seeing his miss vs Burnley. That said, I have only seen highlights, for those that watched the game, was Redmond back to his old self or did he have a good game apart from the 1 bad miss?
Yeah that was a freakish result for them on Saturday. I really don't know what to expect. A draw won't be a bad result.
Fair enough, probably deserves to keep his spot in that case. Those 2 no.10 spots still seem to be the issue then
Also, Adam Armstrong has played right-side of a 4-3-3 for Blackburn before. Maybe he's an option. There's Smallbone coming back too. Surely we can't persist with Theo, bless him.
And who would you have to replace him? Get a grip ….. he’s not that bad ….. **** - we could have Big Sam, Steve Bruce or (soon) Ole in ….. **** me …. I’d rather keep Ralph. As for St Mary’s being toxic - it already is. I cannot STAND the way some fans start niggling at the team from kick off. We’re all fans (supposedly) and disappointed at our team if they don’t win, but that shouldn’t allow us to hurl abuse at the players before they’ve done anything. We’re not Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton ….. My view is that if you can’t get behind the team and support them properly, **** off and join the plastic fans at Spurs or likewise. I can’t go to St Mary’s these days without losing my rag at some of these dozy ****s who seem to think they’re entitled to boo the team for anything and everything
It’s great that Ralph is going to have a difficult decision to make, when Prowsie is available, but I don’t think dropping Romeu would be the best choice. For two periods of the game Saturday, Ralph changed our shape with Romeu dropping into a third centre back role, allowing the full backs more scope to attack. I’m not sure that Prowsie can fill that position in the same way as Romeu.
Sorry, but I’m getting totally pissed off by a “fan” coming back repeatedly to those freak results. I mean - why doesn’t he go and read the Man U forum? I think he’d fit in better there …..
He doesn't get back in the team for me. I've said before that he simply isn’t all that good from open play and the other two offer more as a partnership. I'd have him over Diallo against the big sides but bench otherwise.
There's a good number of us wanting to see a KWP / Tino combo, how to fit them in? With nearly all the squad fit the competition for places is a good problem to have. Keeping everyone happy must give Ralph food for thought. 1 GK Alex McCarthy 31 2 DF Kyle Walker-Peters 24 4 DF Lyanco 24 5 DF Jack Stephens 27 6 MF Oriol Romeu 30 7 FW Shane Long 34 8 MF James Ward-Prowse 26 9 FW Adam Armstrong 24 10 FW Ché Adams 25 11 MF Nathan Redmond 27 15 DF Romain Perraud 24 16 DF Thierry Small 17 17 MF Stuart Armstrong 29 18 FW Armando Broja 20 19 MF Moussa Djenepo 23 20 MF Will Smallbone 21 21 DF Tino Livramento 18 22 DF Mohammed Salisu 22 23 MF Nathan Tella 22 24 MF Mohamed Elyounoussi 27 27 MF Ibrahima Diallo 22 32 MF Theo Walcott 32 35 DF Jan Bednarek 25 41 GK Harry Lewis 23 43 DF Yan Valery 22 44 GK Fraser Forster 33 45 DF Sam McQueen 26
my god you’re an angry man, Dave. Calm down fella, it’s only a game. really no need for the constant abuse and telling people to **** off.
Because he disagrees? You don't think the fact he's led us to two record defeats might be relevant to a discussion on his future for some fans? Saying "no other manager would lose 9-0 twice" is just as relevant as saying "no other manager would do better" in my book. The former is likely more accurate though.
