Yeah, all those knackers signed by other clubs like Ronaldo, Lukaku, Sancho, Grealish, Konate, etc....

... everyone must be kicking themselves for not signing Utterdross Townsend.

Each to their own but if you are actively seeking to watch Rafa's style of football with our new found optimism and wealth, I can only think of you as having been Mike Ashley'd. If that is the limit of your ambition then thank ****ing goodness others are making the call.

Thanks for your input. Sorry but all your chit chat just wreaks of the wheels coming off at Everton reinvigorating your hope of the Spanish Sausage coming to bore our tits off again. No thanks I like football played properly.

Would Ten Hag/Overmars increase our chances of getting De Ligt? If so then I'm even more up for it <laugh> Barca have financial issues too don't they? Maybe Freddie de Jong and Van Der Beek can all join the party.

    Yesh?

Seriously I'd love for us to find a way to sign De Ligt at some point in the future. Pie in the sky for quite a few years obviously, but what a centre back that lad is. Supposedly wants out as they need to offload his 280K a week salary. He will create a free for all by the top clubs.

You honestly expected him to stay out of work and wait for a takeover that no one knew was happening or not?

Yes mate it must be the new sour cherry warrior.

Honesty is my biggest value, so when I see dishonesty or if mines questioned I come out swinging.

    Sorry I'll calm down.

Nah I like your aggression. Shows you care. Keep it up.

And any aggression towards having Benitez inflicted on us again is completely justified and needed.

Rafa is the reason for the delay. They are still trying to persuade him.

I genuinely don't get why they are not getting Favre.

Don't say that. It will be one of the most disappointing aspects of this takeover if they appoint that boring ****. I have faith in them wanting more for us, they seem like good eggs.

I like Favre's style but his record does concern me a little. Very up and down. He has taken some taxing jobs mind. I just remember how bad Dortmund went for him in the end. They wanted him gone ASAP the supporters.

Again I'll back whatever this ownership goes for. Even if it was Rafa. I mean I'd know what we were getting and I wouldn't like it, but if that's what they want, I think their investment earns them the right to choose.

When we had the fat man owning us I would have chosen anyone over Steve Bruce and the fact the fat man has gone doesn't change that fact.

I'd be happy with anyone so long as they are given the backing, which I'm sure whoever it is well be given that backing.

Think every manager has had bad jobs. Just like players.

Can see the pros and cons of Rafa. Personally he would be my choice at this stage. Long term wise Lee Bowyer.

I just can't see any positive with Rafa past the end of the season. I think he'd keep us up so in terms of short term contract, I think its fine to think about. Long term though he is a notoriously difficult manager to follow, his signings are left field even when he has money, so I can't understand what people mean when they think he'll give us stable base to build from. We need a flow to our manager appointments in my opinion. That flow should be heading towards modern attacking football. I don't understand why you start that flow with a defensive manager with unique style (effective it has to be said)?

Each to their own but it makes no sense to me if we are truly a club aiming to be at the cutting edge over the long term. At some stage someone will have to come in and scrap loads of the things he puts in place. Plus can anyone honestly see Rafa being able to work with sporting directors <laugh> He's a right moany ****. What's he gonna do if a Overmars or Rangnick starts handing him attack minded players? So you'd have to have a sporting director to suit his defensive style. I think its an absolutely terrible idea personally but then I like attacking football so I would say that.

Rafa would not be the best football to watch but we did score some nice goals under him with a poor team.

I think Rafa would provide the biggest chance of survival as he already knows this group of players and the majority of them know him and his standards.

It would cause problems with ASM though I imagine, not sure he’s got the attitude/work rate needed for a Rafa team.

I firmly believe Rafa would keep us up and take us to that 7th-10th level.

Like I say his football is not a great watch but he’s the safest bet relegation wise.
