Just a heads up for anybody wanting to get Arsenal away tickets today. The online booking is playing up as you can't select other season ticket holders from your Friends & Family to assign the tickets to You have to ring the ticket office and get them through there (allow yourself at least an hour for that though )

 

I'm wondering if we've had a covid outbreak in the camp.

Obviously Redmond tested positive before the Villa game, so too did Harry Lewis. Then JWP pulls out the England squad with an undisclosed illness, and now I see Livramento, Broja and Bednarek are all missing from their international teams as well. All while the squad are "working from home" this week. Might be nothing in it, just some weird coincidences.

 

Seems quite likely to me and must admit that was my first thought after hearing JWP pull out of England with illness. If it is the case, international break came at a good time for us and hopefully none of them suffer any affects from it!

 

It's altitude sickness, the sudden rise to 13th place needs an acclimatisation period.

 

I suspect so, yes.

This seems almost certain to me. I did think the whole "training" from home thing was rather odd. Either give them a day or two off or don't - I've never heard of a football club having a WFH policy!

Let's just hope it is eradicated by the Norwich game and everyone is fighting fit.

 

I really think that this could be Che's breakthrough in the PL and he could have a JRod circa 2013/14 type season as regards to goals. He is clearly a confidence player and it must be sky high at this present time. He is certainly a top finisher when he is on it.

 

And is clearly developing a great partnership with both the Armstrongs, particularly Stu at the moment. I’ve always liked his footballing intelligence and his quick thinking, and now he’s combining that with confidence as well.

 

We need Tino to sit down with him and explain just how difficult it is to get into a top 6 team here.
The other two teams could be very tempting for him, though.

 

Since it's a TalkSport rumour, we should probably just Chauke it off as nonsense.

 

But the other two European sides might be interesting opportunities. Does anyone know if he is 4th choice here? Would he come in with 2 CM slots open (injuries or suspensions). I don’t recall if he made the bench when JWP was suspended theoretically leaving us with 2 CM who were both starting

edit : no bench slot in any of the games when JWP was out suggesting he is at best 5th choice behind Armstrong

If not then him looking to leave won’t be a surprise. Going to Man City would be a waste of time though. If he was 15 or 16 maybe

He would also want to look at the Swiss lad whose name I can’t spell. He moved to the continent to a reasonably high profile team which is technically at least one level below Saints. And he can’t get in their side. But perhaps will within a year

here’s hoping. His technique is actually class, he got so unlucky last season with hitting the wordwork countless times.

I was worried about goals, but hopefully between Chele, broja and arma we have a fair few in us on current form. I like what I’m seeing from them all.
