Fair point then, I'd missed that the ball had bounced off his head. I had a stream with no commentary, which was great overall but occasionally missed things like that.
I think it was harsh of him to say the substitution showed naivety. He took off little Honeyman and brought on an extra big man to deal with their aerial threat in the last minute or so. I think that's pretty reasonable on paper. It seems a bit if a stretch to say that his age was the reason the ball went backwards off his head. More likely it was just a bit too high to get a clean head on it, and the same would've happened for whoever else was there.
I can't recall the build up, but Honeyman would presumably not have reached it then, where would that have left us? Genuine question.
