Maybe. I would recognise a handful from that time. (Early 80s). Away was either SG or DI coaches or cars, minibuses & vans

If that's Paul Hudson's forecast, it will be barmy, breathless and mild, though on this occasion he might be right, for once. Not sure about the softie bit, Millwall always come for a battle, both on and off the field.

    Ps. Pishing down in Birmingum.

Has anybody on here not gone to a game because of the weather ?
Maybe if you are driving a long distance I can understand it , surely not if you are relatively local though

I remember seeing flying seats, no horses.

I also remember those who chucked a seat back getting the 6am knock and the scum who chucked em in the first place getting off scott - free.

    Typical humberside plod.

I assume the 'jumped up self appointed Arkwright' comment is aimed at me ? I suggest you look at your user name again pal. So less of the personal stuff eh ? You've said your piece, all ****ing day, now give it a rest. I do not recall ever questioning your support and it is you and you alone who is turning this into a personal vendetta.
If my posts upset you so much why don't you push the ignore button ?, I won't be at all upset if you do and then you can spend all day tomorrow, and every other day, trying to pick an argument with someone else?

Left at half time twice if that counts, one a winter cup game at Wigan went back on the coach and had a smoke, the other a home game again in winter when i'd forgot to bring my big coat.

I don’t do ignore, sorry. But I’ve made my point.

I got self knighted years ago when people were suggesting ridiculous names for honours. It was a joke.

In retrospect “Arkwright” was probably a little to far. Sorry if it offended you,

    We’re all supporters.

Coldest I’ve ever felt (relatively) was first half of play-off semifinal against Watford. I’d gone to the away leg in t shirt, about 30 degrees and was on holiday in Centre Parcs when second leg took place, equally hot there, so didn’t have any warm clothes for football match. Was actually shaking with the shivers but finally warmed up when Barmby scored. Took daughter’s partner with me, he was equally cold as only top he had was a Leeds one and even he had enough sense not to wear it and freeze instead. Luckily daughter married a non Leeds fan eventually

I and a few others got to the ground in soaking wet snorkel parkas, having being caught in a torrential downpour waiting for the bus to the ground, only to get there to find everyone else in tee-shirts on a baking hot day.

Took you all day too and I still do not know what the point was, however,
I will be there early tomorrow to see the Quick Silver Kings play on the East Stand concourse. Introduce yourself and I'll buy you a pint.

    All our yesterday's
Anyone go to Mk Don's at the hockey stadium? A freezing cold February night. Sat in the open end with snow flurries and a wicked wind chill. About 400 City fans all huddled together behind the goal, like Penguins sheltering from a storm in David Attenborough's Frozen series.
That's the coldest I can recall.

Birmingham away a couple of seasons back was bad. There was a snow storm blowing right into the faces of the City fans mid way through the first half. It was like the Arctic for about 20 minutes and we all thought the game would be abandoned. You couldn't see the other half of the pitch and it felt like minus 10 stood there. Also the Runcorn Cup replay played at Witton Albion ? was another freezing cold night with a freezing fog engulfing the ground all night. Someone said it was minus something or another that night too. Open terracing too. Be like summer tomorrow in comparison to those two.

Three of us drove down that night. Parked up and we all decided to put on extra layers before getting out. Home fans started walking past us, three bare chested lads in a car with steamed up windows. Very embarrassing.
The away end was just tiered benches covered in ice and snow, and I remember a ginger twat scoring for them.

    Maybe when I’m back.

My lad is sorting a ticket for the Bristol game. Unfortunately, after the long wait my health won’t currently allow it. I think Ehab purposely waited ‘til now to get it sorted just so I couldn’t go
