Didn't know you were ill. If I did I wouldn't have bitten so readily. Your health comes first then watching City is a bonus. Never under estimate it.
I remember Donny away one Saturday afternoon and it was snowing like f*** so stayed on the coach at the old ground til about 2-55! Also remember walking to City maybe late seventies maybe Millwall , and fans walking towards us match called off about 1-30 frozen ice and snow on paths . Compare that to 3-1 win against Charlton played on a fully snow covered pitch good win!
I wouldn’t have posted owt if I wasn’t courting a response. Just sorry it went a little too far. After a traumatic few weeks I’m now past the worse, hopefully. I just need to take it easy for a while. No driving, no drinking, no getting stressed. Starting work again before xmas but just from home. See what the new year brings, My lad will make enough noise for the two of us.
With the Turkish currency halved in value in the past few weeks I hope the potential new owners have their funds in another currency
Erm new owner bloke has secretly been following this thread... https://www.not606.com/threads/does-anybody-understand-bitcoin.357038/
That was 2018 and the weekend of the beast of the east . It was absolutely freezing and snow was even blowing onto the concourse before the game .
Do you remember a few years ago when Plod forced the game off because of snow on the walkway to the KC, ****wits, never closed every shop in town cos the paths had snow on them did they?
Was that the Chelsea game around New year 2010 . Think that was called off on the Friday. The roads that night were awful and think the buses stopped running early evening.
It doesn’t seem that long ago, but probably was, nothing wrong with the pitch, but Plod decided people were to delicate to get into the stadium, how the **** we all got to work, school shops etc.
****ing hell, early start for me as I am allowing at least 7 hours for the drive up!!! Last time it was like this I had to turn round at Brackley as the black ice was getting worse. It took me over half a mile to stop when in the distance I saw red flares across the road. I managed to stop in a straight line, got out of the car and promptly fell on my arse. A copper was trying to stop all of the cars, but even a couple of trucks sailed past and headed straight into the ditches. I asked him if there was anything I could do to help and he just said to try to get down the road and round the roundabout, then head back the way had had come from. In a two mile stretch there must have been 40 cars stuck in shallow ditches and on the verges. Driving in the snow and ice doesn't bother me, other drivers do. So my bags are packed with my artic thermals (special stuff that I use for winter scuba diving). Now Canada Tiger and Stockholm will say, no need. But I aint getting cold if I get stuck because the snow is 10mm deep and its -4 and there are bound to be twats who think that it will be ok to zoom along as if it isn't a winter storm. I have a weekend pass and have to make the most of it... even if I only get to Banbury! Mind you.. if I get there my lad has a Mk2 Landrover and he lives around there ATM.
Kilmarnock v Patrick Thistle a good few years ago. Match was intending to go to was called off due to the state of the pitch so went to That instead. Weather was so bad that when the Kilmarnock goalie booted the ball away it blew back and he had to punch it over the bar for a corner. End result was 0-0 as well. Dreadful.
