Liverpool’s midfield is basically irrelevant, everything goes down their flanks so not a bad shout to only have 2 midfielders. Can’t blame Ralph for attempting to go for it, we most likely get battered either way so may aswell give it a go
Like the look of that team. Need the wing backs to be brave in possession, and particularly when we turn the ball over, and we could carry a decent threat* here. *by our standards.
Ok, that’s an interesting team. I think I get the logic though, having listened to some of your thoughts.
Two of our three strikers have to play between the CB and their full back and stay up top if they go forward but they might not want that if it means their CBs have to cover three strikers Our strikers must stay up and not drop back into defensive midfield Would like to see us keep a couple of strikers up for corners and free kicks
I've not really paid much attention to the PL other than looking at results this year. Forgot how much the media froth over Liverpool being good. They are positiively on the edge of orgasm at the thought of a big easy win for them today. Would love it if we managed to pull a rabbit out the hat and ruin it for them.
Apparently Konate likes to wander about a bit. If he could take VVD with him, that would be very useful. Please.
Completely agree, if the three don’t stay up front we may as well not have picked them I like that Ralph is trying something different here.... certainly gives Klopp some thinking to do. Either the full backs have to stay back, or the midfield do. Or they bank on us being poor at converting chances and just send everyone forwards anyway!
Will Romeu get through 6 minutes without a yellow? Getting let off with first fouls doesn’t seem to apply to him.
