    That’ll upset a few.

Work from home for many will come in soon. Expect mandatory masks in supermarkets within 2 weeks is my prediction.

When I go to my local pharmacy, people still wear their masks, always have done since they were introduced. I'd say more wear than don't on my visits. I think even without covid, it gives you a digree of protection from other germs people are coughing and sneezing around this time of year.

I could think of plenty of arguments, about changes in my lifetime, such as cctv and anything digital that tracks your movements, but for some reason the nutjobs want to get upset over masks.

No mention of pubs or mass indoor gathering though. So it sounds like you could travel on the tube to central London in your mask, get off and cram into a nightclub with 1,000 people on a dance floor without one. Joined up thinking lol.

Yup I remember seat belts being introduced. As you say no smoking, that was a biggy that affected me at the time. They changed the Dartford Tolls to cashless, so my vehicle movements were digitally tracked. My football club has gone cashless, so every ticket or purchase, including food I buy is digitally tracked. CCTV never use to have them, and Boris has already stated there will be more. Never use to have mobile phones, google maps tracks my every movement, albeit I could turn off I think. Many place I've worked in during my life, I've had to have digital passes, crikey don't mentioned passes lol. Yet despite all this, something about masks, you really couldn't make it up over the trivial things people get wound up over, while ignoring the more important infringments on your movements.

I was amazed , they weren't mandatory for longer, also only table service in pubs, seemed too much relaxing the rules too quickly.
Talking to a mate from Bavaria last Sunday, they are in virtual lock down again

Am at my inlaes in Penn today.
There was a poster on a lamp post that had pictures of poppies and soldiers on it and it said that we should remember the sacrifices they made for our freedom and so we should oppose all covid restrictions.

Not sure if these people who write and post these things realise that:

    1. Those who lived and fought during the wars carried masks when told to.

    2. Carried I.D cards when ordered to.

    3. Put up with rationing.

Surely wearing a mask in a shop and on transport to help a little ain't too much to ask.

If they don't want a vaccination that's up to them but wtf is the issue with wearing a mask and taking a non invasive test to help protect others?

I think there is avenues within the restrictions previously implemented, that I did have issue with, but the things some want to protest against, just makes me shake my head in disbelief.

For example I took issue where travel was ok, if you were mightly rich, for me that's just plain wrong. I wouldn't travel under restrictions anyway, but even so travel shouldn't become a two tier system.

I'm not even 100% behind ID cards, but I weigh up against all the other digital stuff that now invades our life, and I'd like to ask the difference between an ID pass and paying for something cashless, the latter keeps a digital log of where you were, what you bought, and at what date and time.

So I couldn't think of anything more invasive, that puts ID cards into insignificance. They might argue, I'm forced though to have the jab, well I'm forced to pay by card, I don't even get a choice if I want to go football, which is where a lot of Abe's arguments use to be around.

    I agree.
I have always been against having to carry around ID cards in public and having to produce them on demand like they have to do in some countries but have no issue about using ID to get a credit card etc and so using a covid passport on my phone don't seem a big deal to me.

The travel thing I completely agree with your point.

But I am completely thrown by the objections to testing and mask wearing.

They ****ed it up last time when they allowed exemptions. Which gave COVID deniers and obstinate dickheads an opportunity to lie and not wear one. There should be no exemptions, if you’re really that unwell that wearing a mask in a shop for 15-20 mins is going to cause you a physical problem, then maybe you shouldn’t be out risking catching COVID like, so shop on line or ask for help. Keep it simple, no mask = no service or no public travel. Easy.

    Lol.

If I'm popping in to a supermarket for a loaf I have to take my mask. If I want to go on the piss at an all night rave I'm fine without.

I'm OK with mask wearing but I just can't make sense of when and where. Its mental.

Not sure I necessarily agree with this.

Some people are genuinely exempt, severe asthmatics for instance.

I don't see why they should not be allowed out, so they are 'protecting' people who have refused to be vaccinated?

If you're vaccinated and wearing a mask causes you a problem, that should be ok. People who aren't ****ing vaccinated are the ones who shouldn't be allowed out.
