    Burnley vs Spurs called off.

This should work out well. It will allow Conte more time to work his magic and then be stronger when they do play this.

    Interesting week coming up.

Newcastle home to Norwich and Burnley, who both have difficult away games Spurs and Wolves respectively, Watford home to Chelsea and Man City, we really need 6 pts from the next 2 games

The similarities between the football of Leeds, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea is amazing. Just watching City now and the possession stats are awesome….. the difference between us is the passing ability or put it another way these 3 teams have better players and every pass almost goes where it was aimed, yesterday we saw most of our passes falling short and intercepted or just misdirected.

We need Ayling back and we need to sort out our best LB and have either James on ghe left or Harrison sorted so we can play attacking triangles properly again. Its frustrating to watch when you have seen it work so many times before and not been able to do it this season.

Just occurred to me that it was helluva windy yesterday. Might that account for our long passes & crosses going wayward? I know that Brighton faced the same problem, but perhaps them knowing how the wind patterns in the stadium gave them a true home advantage? I don't remember too many wayward passes/crosses from them, yet I can recall a load of ours.

I think much of the problems come from not having ghe Ayling/Raphinha overlap, or the Firpo/Harrison overlap working. (firpo and Harrison seemed to have it sorted before his covid then injury) which means we end up using Phillips deep and Llorente wide right/RB who moves forward and sends long passes to anyone except Raphinha. Everything seems bolloxed and I think thats the main problem this season

Bamford Interview - He hurt his ankle last week running but when he was checked over it wasn’t his ligament damage reoccurring and he is now pain free. When he did his ankle last week it was doing full speed stuff, he is feeling good and thinks he’ll be available for selection very soon

Well we know Ayling at least is playing for the 23s tonight. Imagine Bielsa and Pep will have a drink over at Citys Academy complex, wonder if they have someone to lend us in January?

I saw that, he also said Bamford keeps breaking down in training. I totally ignored it after watching Bamfords interview online yesterday, he said he’d be available for selection very soon so he obviously knew he was pencilled in for today.
