Just another bunch of trouble makers using fake news and fake laws to spread their brand of reality denial.
    Makes them feel important.
I agree they don't derserve much coverage beyond establishing that they exist - which warns the general public of the nuisance / menace they pose.

Indeed. I highlighted the BBC as that was the link Lardi included, but yes Daily Mail, BBC it doesn’t matter who you are, just don’t give these people any ‘air-time’. If they put up any reasonable arguments then fair enough, but as Lardi says, this lot are just nutters and their antivax arguments are proven to be wrong by the statistics.

It's been reported that France has now changed its mind, and that Novax won't be allowed to compete in the French Open until he gets the jab. The choice is his.

And to prove the point about masks - France, which has had strict mask wearing restrictions for weeks, today records…………. over 464,000 new cases

I must admit that is strong evidence.

I don't like wearing a mask when shopping - and I really mean I don't like it. Wearing one for more than about 15 minutes makes me begin to feel very short of breath. Don't know if that is a psychological thing with me, but it is most unpleasant.
But I've been willing to put up with it because I believed that mask wearing does make a significant difference in environments like supermarkets.
(and of course because it was the law).

I have been disinclined to think that mask wearing is barely more than a waste of time and money because that scepticism has felt a bit too close to other anti-rules attitudes often put forward by some folk (not you @Ubedizzy) who won't accept any restrictions at all.

But I am getting fed up with having to fork out for these detestable devices.
And I've always seen them - effective or not - as the most obvious symbol of having to live in a diseased society.
A state of mind I'm not prepared to put up with indefinitely.

Of course masks and other proper PPE is essential in medical environments.
But as part of everyday life?
    No. Absolutely not.

Time to have a definitive statement on the effect of masks, from messrs Whitty and Vallance. If I have to take my glasses off, then that must mean that the mask is useless anyway, since my breath is bypassing the mask.
