    Going crosseyed thinking about this.

If we lose on Saturday then we need one of
Plymouth to lose at home to MKDons. (Could happen. MKDons have to win to get top two) OR
Wycombe to lose at Burton. (Seems unlikely to me) OR
Wycombe draw and we don’t lose by three goals.
If they both win we’re screwed.

If we draw then we need one of
Sheffield Wed to lose home to Portsmouth (unlikely) OR
    Wycombe don’t beat Burton OR
    Plymouth don’t beat MKDons

If we win then we finish 4th or 5th and probably get Sheff Wed in the playoffs.

So let’s win and have SW in the semis and Plymouth at Wembley.

    E&OE

My first wife was from Morecambe and I haven’t seen her for over forty years. But she will no doubt have a laugh if we lose. [expletive deleted]

Shows how important the lucky equaliser last night was. It’s now in our hands.

If we had lost last night, we could have finished 7th even if we win on Saturday.

I think we will win on Sat, finish 5th and play Sheff Wed in the semis. Can't say I'm overly worried about them. MK Dons in the final however......

I've been predicting MK Dons in the final for a month or so myself.

I can imagine game plans will be toing and froing as goals go in. **** we need to score, **** we need to defend, **** we need to score 2! Plymouth may be in a position where they could be leading 1-0 but Wycombe could be leading 3-0. Wycombe would go above them. Do Plymouth go all out for goals from the off to try and take Wycombe out of the equation, or do they sit on a narrow lead and hope Wycombe dont better them by +2 goals. It will all depend on what they hear coming from the Wycombe game. We would have been with them in the same position if not for that bullet header of an og. We just need to win now to make sure, it doesnt matter by how many.

I see Gillingham v Rotherham and Plymouth v MK Dons are both on sky 12.30 Saturday. No doubt there’ll be goal updates from other matches.
League tables “as it stands”. Always fun that.

Don't worry about a thing. My 6 year old grandson has played the game on FIFA and we won 2-1 with LND scoring a worldy volley to win it. That's good enough for me

In their last five games Portsmouth are undefeated and have beaten four teams by scoring three goals each time.

With no real chance of promotion they've put three past title chasing Wigan and Rotherham beating them both.

They limited Rotherham to one attempt on target and have conceded less goals than Sheff Wed this season.

During the same period Sheff Wed have lost to Wycombe and needed a penalty to win at home to relegated bottom club Crewe.

If Portsmouth were coming to the SOL I'd be very nervous for good reason.

Many people are giving Sheff Wed a bye but I believe they'll lose on Saturday and Plymouth will lose at home to MK Dons.

Sadly I believe Wycombe will win at Burton

That all means that, providing we don't lose to Morecambe, by more than Plymouth lose to MK Dons, we're in the play-offs.

If Wycombe draw we can lose 2-0 and qualify on goals scored unless Wycombe draw 5-5 ...

... in which case we'd both be on 81 points, 25 GD and 78 goals scored.

I've no idea how that's sorted out unless we win alphabetically <laugh>

As it's them cheats we'd probably find they'd probably change their name to AFC Wycombe on the morning of the game <doh>

In reality I believe Sunderland will ruin the tension and excitement, of the entire day, by scoring early and going on to win by four or five goals.

That'll leave Wycombe, Sheff Wed and Plymouth to do all the sweating and we can sit back, relax and start planning for the play-offs.

I'd settle for your second last paragraph.
But how to Morecambe approach this game?
They've got a cushion but a win like us would secure there place in the league, likewise so would a draw...so what do they do
Keep it tight and invite us on and hope for a draw or go all out to win and leave themselves open at the back and get punished like they did at our place.
The correct answer probably lies within ourselves, we know what we've got to do so the manager and players have to get it right and I think/hope they will.
If we do the business then what others do is immaterial.

Thought I would put this up, our home, away and aggregate scores of teams who could be in the play offs. Ours scores in bold, aggregate scores, ours first.

    Vs Wigan h2-1 a0-3 agg 5-1
    Vs Rotherham a5-1 h1-1 agg 2-6
    Vs Mk Dons a1-2 h1-2 agg 3-3
    Vs Sheff Wed a3-0 h5-0 agg 5-3
    Vs Plymouth h2-1 a0-0 agg 2-1
    Vs Wycombe h3-1 a3-3 agg 6-4

Lost on aggregate to Rotherham, and drew with MK Dons.

Not a bad statistic that. So basically those big defeats against Sheff Wed, Portsmouth, Bolton and Rotherham has cost us in the goal difference but those games after Johnson was sacked has really cost us in the grand scheme of things

TBH every club has had periods like us and that's without sacking a manager.

Plymouth, around February, were about ten points clear of third and I reckon they'll miss out on the play-offs.

I know that doesn't help us but, in reality, we only need to win two more games and we're in the Championship.

I agree. I think we'll score early and Morecambe will panic and cave in. Also agree about Pompey causing problems for Sheff Wed.

Wycombe's game at Burton isn't a gimmee mind. During this month, Burton have drawn 0-0 at home with both Wigan and Plymouth and beat Rotherham 2-0. If I was a Wycombe fan, I'd be hoping MK Dons do us a favour against Plymouth.
