The 2022 NFL Draft concluded this past weekend. For some teams, the narrative of "wait until next year" may changed to "win now or else". How did your favorite Club come out of the Draft?
I don't really know much about college football, but our main weakness last season was the defence and we addressed that in our first few rounds. The trades seemed strange as we helped the Packers and lions get a wide receiver each, but people are saying they would have traded up for the players in question either way so we might as well be the team to benefit, though perhaps we gave away our number 12 pick a bit too cheaply. Also tomorrow the international fixtures are announced. Hearing rumours of the Vikings at the Saints, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
So what's everyone's view on the international fixtures announced? As a Vikings fan, I'm thrilled they're coming over if I can get tickets (no longer a foregone conclusion despite being a Wembley season ticket holder for years) and it means one reason to not kill myself until October at least
International games have generally been well received by the players, many of whom never left the States until then. As a fan, it is odd to watch an NFL game so early in the morning, generally the same time of day as soccer matches are broadcast here. One each in Mexico and Germany this year, with two games at Tottenham's stadium. Next season maybe they can have one is Australia...in an AFL ground.
Week 1 concludes Monday night. My NY Jets are off to a rough start but look like they have the tools to ascend in coming years.
The most incomprehensive comeback win over the Cleveland Browns for my Jets. The parts are there to have a decent season.
Shame this is dead! It’s been an amazing season with some upsets. As an eagles fan, I’m just hoping we can grab the no1 seed this coming weekend
It is a shame, sorry I missed qpr new York's posts otherwise I would have replied earlier (not sure how) As a Vikings fan, I want the Eagles to lose both their games. Though first we have to beat Green Bay, which will be tricky. We've had an absolutely mental season this year. And I did manage to get to the Vikings game at Tottenham, that was pretty fun!
Yeah there's been some excellent games this year . Eagles looking good and think only San Fran stand in the way if Superbowl place . Vikings have been entertainment this year
Eagles v Bills final would be a good one to see. Gonna be tough though as the NFC appears to have got a bit stronger as years gone on . Be interesting to see if Bengals to upset the 2 AFC favourites this year
Vikings v bills, the super bowl of the two 0-4 teams. Though the bills will be gunning for revenge. Though if not the Vikings, I just don't want anyone that won it recently. Bet no one expected San Fran to do as well as they have when Mr Irrelevant came in. I know they have a good team but even still... Our number 2 seed is in danger. Ideally as it's unlikely we'll get the number one seed, if we win and San Fran lose, we'll be stuck in the number 2 seed and can rest some players versus Chicago
People keep saying that but we keep clinging on. Regardless what happens in the playoffs it's been a great season, a division title for the first time in five years, some bonkers results and seeing them in person. Hopefully we can win at least one playoff game. And sweep the Packers, which will be tough but isn't impossible
