That new shirt looks nice then you look at the stick on badge and sponsor, £55 is shocking mind.

Can’t wait to see the back of this “Nike” deal the chuckle brothers cooked up.

Who did? It was signed way before KLD came on the scene. I remember when Storey starting posting on twitter a mocked up kit with his brand as sponsor and Adidas as manufacturer and everybody pointing out we had a Nike deal.

Don’t most teams now have the heat transfer logos ?
I’m not sure excusing it but it just seems the way now with replica kits.

I would much prefer the stitched on badges of old but would we pay extra on top of 55 quid for that ?

    I just don’t think so.

For the sponsors' logos, yeah. But club badges and manufacturers logos are usually stitched on, embroidered, or made of this weird rubberised stuff. All much stronger than the way they seem to be doing ours. I collect foreign ones (bit strange, I know) so this is a bit of specialist subject for me. I get the feeling they're not putting so much effort in because its that strange third party deal.

Now that you mention it, isn't the deal something along the lines of company buys shirts from Nike, from standard design in our case red and white stripes, then sticks team badge sponsor etc on to make them shirt for whatever team? A few teams have it which is why a lot of Nike kits look similar?

Or am I remembering that wrong?

I’ve lost a couple of these new style badges but luckily last years home top seems to be a little stronger as it’s holding on. Tend to wash at 30 degrees though and line dry stuff most of the time.

I did a bit of reading and Liverpool use this rubber stuff ya talking about.
