Word is both deals are loans and while Ndombele's will contain an option to buy (which no doubt won't be exercised), Lo Celso's contains various appearance based clauses which will trigger an obligation to buy.

Pretty smart, as Lo Celso will likely trigger those clauses over the season while Ndombele probably won't

It's similar to the oft-quoted £200k a week we're paying Ndombele, when in reality it's £120k base salary and the rest is performance-based addons he probably hasn't come close to activating

This is all I’ve wanted to see for years.

Getting the new players in and settled for pre season is huge even if they don’t feature much at first.

It also takes a bit of pressure off selling the deadwood as you’re not waiting for them to go before you can buy.

Would be epic if Levy got this in exchange payment
(but the general blurb is that Torres has no particular
    interest in joining Spurs) .

Even without Torres, we cannot deny the man a chance
to use Villarreal to keep the Levying knife sharp. :)

Don’t think we need Torres now, Davies and Lenglet are good options at LCB. Davies looked really good again on the weekend too and considering he had a stop start pre-season it made the performance even more impressive.

If we’re going for another CB then it should be one to compete with Dier as a more central, beefy/ stocky, leader type. That’s why I thought Bremer earlier in the window but seems he never had interest in leaving Italy and now with hindsight I think maybe a HG player will be best for it anyway, a lot of HG Prem experienced CBs generally have that solid foundation for good central CBs I feel.

I really like Lewis Dunk but don’t think he’d leave for us as we couldn’t guarantee a starting spot from the off.

Tarkowski maybe could/ should’ve been a option before Everton snapped him up, especially as a freebie.

Considering next summer is where we have to decide to stick or twist on Sanchez, it wouldn't surprise me if we were doing Villarreal a solid this summer before bringing back Juan Foyth next summer

Sounds like Udogie's gonna have his medical in Italy and we'll do the deal out there, rather than have him come to Hotspur Way and then straight back to Udinese.

I was thinking similar Re Conor Coady, who I've always rated and is also HG. No idea why he's joining the Boodison circus and the fact it is on loan is even more peculiar as he is on a long term contract at Wolves.

Would fit the bill perfectly as he is used to playing that central role for Wolves. I can only assume the guarantee of playing time swayed it but could have been another move we made more effort to hijack.

He'll play for Everton and he's from Liverpool, having come through the Fake Scouse academy.
It's basically his last chance to play in a World Cup, so he's got to play regularly for that.

Well scrap that because he’s just posted snaps of himself in London on his Instagram, so maybe he will go Hotspur Way! <laugh>

    Closer to home I’d imagine.

Doubt he’d have joined us though, WC year and I doubt he’d get the required game time to make the squad and if anything he’d lose his England place to Dier because of it.

Common sense dictates our medical team is in Italy wondering where the hell he is

But he's a nailed-on starter for Wolves, who are markedly a better team than Everton.

Or is this about how only certain clubs are allowed to be represented at international level?

I get why he wouldn't want to move to us; it's the part where club captain and legend Conor Coady leaves Wolves to join a circus that puzzles me.

A mate of mine once told me we should never get players from relegated or struggling teams, they are that way for a reason. Generally I agree with that , but its not a one size fits all scenario.

"Speeding up so fast" and "Tanguy Ndombele" aren't necessarily the words you'd default to building a sentence from.

He seems to have lost his place at Wolves, who have also switched to a back four.
Nathan Collins coming in from Burnley has pushed him out.
He lives in Widnes, by all accounts, so Everton are right on his doorstep.
