With only two games to go until the break, I say we go balls deep and go for it. Also a chance to avenge that ****ty VAR decision from earlier in the season against them.
Palace are interesting, only 2 points of 6th in the league, so I assume they'll rest a few too. We're owed a victory here cos of that VAR twattery earlier in the season.
We're as well going full strength, we have 1 game remaining after this before a nice long break and I think it's pointless to play a weakened side. Will be pissed off if we don't take this seriously tomorrow night.
Agree with this. Yes there have been a lot of fixtures, but 2 games and we get a break from the usual full intensity, bar a couple of world cup players Definitely go all out for it in the cups this year. At least try. .
If we field a weakened side and get knocked out the cup and then just say we got beaten off Chelsea, the feel-good factor diminishes for a few weeks compared to being competitive in both.
Yeah Palace are a tricky side. Certainly no pushover. All the more reason to field a strong team against them. At least give it a proper go and if it doesn't work out then fair enough, but it would be horrible to put the reserves out, then lose and then go "oh well".
Full side out for us and risk injury for Saturday? Or weakened side out and lose? We’d be hard pushed to escape one of them. I don’t think Palace will have a full side out either.
For me it has to be full strength and go for it. Or at least keep it to a couple of tweaks to protect anyone carrying injuries. But certainly no wholesale changes to disrupt the rythym. We shouldn't risk putting out a B team.
Maybe Anderson and ASM in, but make sure we put a strong team out. From Howe's presser it sounds like Tripps is fine but we might see Wilson rested
