Pleased he's gone - not up to the standard and hopefully no more of Speakmann trying to kid us that he's our 3rd striker. MUST mean an incoming today
Without wanting to sound like something from the 70s, he needs to find a heart and some fight in there. He shirks every challenge and every header. Even slight players like Michut and Amad get stuck in. but Dajaku jumps awaty from every challenge - as it stands, he's not cut out for English football
@JamesCopley_ Confirmed by the EFL: Jay Matete can’t be recalled from his loan move at Plymouth Argyle after Corry Evans’ injury. Early termination of loans only applicable after expiry of 28 days. I #SAFC
Dajaju leaving confirmed on SAFC.com https://www.safc.com/news/team-news...4q9lMqksi0WqJ5rb0xBkZC2TxBhhsUpMJvtL0pbmSVWqE Sunderland AFC confirms that Leon Dajaku has joined FC St. Gallen on loan subject to international clearance. The 21-year-old moves to the Swiss Super League until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, joining Peter Zeidler’s side in their push to secure European football next season. Dajaku moved to Wearside in August 2022 and registered four goals and four assists in 22 Sky Bet League One appearances, as the Club earned promotion to the second tier of English football. The German Under-21 international has made 10 Sky Bet Championship appearances for the Black Cats during the current campaign. Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman said: “Leon made a positive impact during his first season in England and although he is a versatile forward, our attacking positions are currently occupied by some of our most high performing players. At 21 years of age, it is important for a player of his profile to gain regular game time during the second part of the campaign and this an excellent opportunity for him to do that in the Swiss top-flight. We wish him well and look forward to supporting his progress from afar.” All at SAFC wish Leon the best of luck during his time at the Kybunpark Stadium.
not football related, but seeing that tweet from the club about Leon on here, noticed the verification tick is now gold, so all these daft twats paying a monthly for a blue tick have been had.
We must have the Lihadji deal done to be letting Dejaku go. St.Gallen is a strange move, it sounds more like he's in the shop window rather than a loan for development. Good luck to him either way.
Didn’t realise Dajaku had featured in 10 league games this season, thought it was a lot less. Still only 21, I don’t think the club will give up on him just yet.
