That's pretty good news, I was worried he'd miss pre-season again but he should be ready to go from the off.
He's had a really tough time of things recently; you can only feel for the lad. Maybe this injury and a sensible recovery plan such as Liam suggests will give him time to reflect on other things in his life, possibly go home and start to process his grief. Come back stronger. Good luck to him. #UTT
To be honest when he played against West Brom second half he looked injured. Dunno if it was a hamstring strain.
Sorry, but when you look at his past injury record that someone posted on here recently I think we'd be better off forgetting about him and getting others in who can stand up to the rigors of the game. Shame as he's quality, but absolutely no good to us going forward if he's going to break down with muscle injury after muscle injury like his history, and our experience with him suggest.
Rosenior's comments in this article seem to confirm that he thinks our pre-season was a cause of our injury issues this season. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...news/benjamin-tetteh-injury-hull-city-8247448 Sounds like we made some big mistakes last summer. I remember hearing something at the time that Shota supposedly wasn't happy about the Turkey pre-season trip, which was planned at the last minute if I remember right. Hopefully the club have learned lessons; Rosenior seems to have a big voice which Shota maybe never commanded. You have to wonder what could have been this season if we'd handled it better and not had all these injuries.
I seem to remember Docherty I think, saying it has been the easiest pre season he’s had or words to that effect.
He brings far more to his game than goals, his hold up and link up play are brilliant, we're a far better team with him in it.
Tetteh's injury record (without his latest absences for us added). Seems like they have poor pre-seasons in Belgium, Czech Rep and Turkey too? At least it's not just us.
His past injury record wasn't particularly bad. Its only since he's been here he's had long layoffs in quick succession.
Didn't Daws say he was back in training yesterday? Coyle really limits how we can play out from the back
[ So we have to wait for a closing in on 31 year old full back, to have a knee operation, then rehabilitate and perhaps just perhaps might play for us again. We normally bin RB's off when they've been out for any length of time... Letting Emmanuel go is looking an increasing Horlicks!@!!!
Christie is a better player than Emmanuel. Coyle too if we're not gonna play wingbacks. Be interesting to see if Josh gets a championship gig or not after his Grimsby deal expires in summer though. Personally I think he'll get snapped by an ambitious L1 club. Hasn't done enough in the champ.
I find it strange that Emmanuel was unavailable for ages due to medical reasons, then we terminate his contract, joins Grimsby on a free and is immediately starting games. Was he available for selection at any point this season for us, and Shota/Dawson/Rosy just didn’t fancy him?
He was cleared for selection earlier in the season, but just couldn't force his way in. He was desperate to play again and build up his match fitness/sharpness so we agreed to release him
