Now Conte had gone we won’t finish top 4 now. That was our only chance.

But according to MadMag, Arsenal are going to vanish into thin air (I assume they will be abducted by the Androminans?), so we still have a chance. <cheers>

cuz Conte's assistant and some guy called Ryan Mason are clearly the dream team they needed.

    World domination awaits .

I heard this. Weird for Spurs to not take anyone on. They appear to be waiting till the end of the season.

    Bizarre.

It makes sense tbh, they can't get a high profile manager at short notice, and they want to to think carefully about who they bring in.

The thing is Conte had become so toxic and such a prick that the priority was getting him out the club right now before he does any more damage.

Maybe. I see some logic. It’s great that all these clubs are falling to bits and we are just ticketyboo!

It seems odd that Conte's assistant got the job, and the whole of Conte's team didn't just leave with him.

I assume his assistant is embarrassed at how batshit Conte went and is doing this as a good deed.

Conte is and always has been batshit.

Still don’t understand why people think he’s a good manager.

Yeah, wasn't he in charge of the cheating version of Juve?!

Spurs are funny. Huge stadium but as Danny Rose said, you could have the nicest house but if the furniture's not great, then.....

Was looking at their average attendance, which is barely above ours in spite of their capacity being 15k+ more. They've always felt like pretenders to me. Levy's done a great job of convincing the world Spurs are "big 6" but they're really not. They're like a modern version of Risdale's Leeds United. Pretending to be big.

They are no more than 1500 short of capacity every game. Capacity is only 11K more than ours so it sounds like they got the capacity spot on but also shows that Levy probably budgeted for them continuing to play in a way that doesn't suddenly start attracting loads more fans i.e. Spursy

He's trophy haul is decent, and he did ok at Spurs last season and looked like he was gonna progress further with them this season, after signing quality players like Kulusevski.

They were still in 4th place with a realistic chance of 3rd, I dunno why the moron went on that stupid rampage to the press, he basically screamed "SACK ME NOW!"....just like when Mourinho got sacked by Chelsea the second time, he was acting like such a retard that he guaranteed his own sacking.

It looked like he just got sick of being there. It was funny when Richarlison scored, gave the manager a 'You see' message, for the goal to be chalked off. Good team spirit there!

Yeah this was my thoughts after Conte's rampage. You went to Spurs, they have been doing the same thing for years, you can't go there and say "they aren't doing it right (my way)" because they never have, they've done this dance for the last 10 seasons so it can hardly have been a surprise. Think Conte didn't fancy it and was looking for a way out with a decent severance package, early summer holidays and then get back to southern Europe in July.

Spurs will be in Europe in some form next season (and I think them, Liverpool, Brighton and Us are fighting for 4th-7th), get a decent manager in they'll be battling for the CL spots next year.
