Given Spurs latest few managers I could definately see Potter heading to North London. Mark Hughes is still waiting for his dream Chelsea job.
A friend was telling me about a conversation he was having with a mate of his, a serious corporate lawyer, who is also a massive City fan. This chap said ‘as a lawyer’ that City were obviously guilty of breaking the rules on finances and had been for many years. The only question should be how many leagues they would be relegated. He hoped that they wouldn’t be stripped of the titles they have won. This from one of their own fans. He also said that Everton were as bad if not worse. I’m not holding my breath.
In defence of the owners, for all their failings, they keep us afloat when we lose fortunes even before paying salaries. Luton achieve infinitely more with less revenue and a smaller wage bill and had the potential to go the same way we did when Jones got poached. If anything they’ve improved.
