Just saw this piece. Most of it doesn't concern me so much, especially the falling out with Neuer. The manager wanted to sell a player who was deemed surplus to requirements. Neuer wanted that player to stay (despite contributing barely anything to the team) as they were "oooohhhh football fwends". Nagelsmann put his foot down, Neuer threw his gloves out the pram. I make the manager right in that particular encounter.

Tactical originality? Fab, we haven't had any of that in over a year.

Continuous shouting from the touchline? Perfect, half the time our players need reminding that the ball is the bouncy sphere and it is allowed to be kicked in a forward velocity.

The one part that worries me is the know-it-all reputation. I get that all top coaches need a streak of confidence if not outright arrogance, but at a club like ours where for now success is a long game, a touch of forbearance and humility is crucial. I feel that's what made Poch so successful. He was open, sincere and down to earth. Notably it started going wrong after the CL final where he apparently developed a bit of a superiority complex for leading a midfield of Winks and Sissoko to the biggest game in club football. Justified, perhaps, but at a club that cannot yet afford to patch over the manager's deficiencies with wads of cash, ultimately unhelpful and it led to a downward spiral.

I'd still place him as the frontrunner but this article makes it clear we need to do our due diligence on every candidate we consider.

Yep and I always will :emoticon-0109-kiss:

And may the record show that the first album I ever owned was Parklife by Blur. I do believe I've redeemed myself somewhat with that.

Gary Jacob has added Arne Slot's name to the list

Starting to wonder if their sources happen to be r/coys posters...

I know how you feel @The Changing Man. I was 29 when that LP was released and I had, quite literally, kids coming into the record shop that I was working in at the time buying that on CD and I felt like a dinosaur then, so imagine how I feel now almost 30 years later?!

Let me see if I've got this straight: Bayern sacked Nagelsmann, and have already replaced him with Tuchel...but if any club wants to hire him before the summer they need to pay compensation to Bayern?

Perhaps they have suspended him on full pay, or simply paid him in advance until the end of the season so he still might be contracted to them....

He will have been/is being paid off in some way so if he gets a new job before his contract expires that money will need to be paid back by somebody.

Conte has left Spurs. Mutual agreement

Stellini and Mason in charge for rest of the season.

He’s gone. Given it Stellini until the end of the season, which is surprising.

Conte probably had to go after the Southampton outburst but do the club really think Stellini and Mason until the end of the season is the best option in their quest for top 4?

Poll up, put the 6 main names that have been linked so far, there’s been about 15 in total but these have been mentioned numerous times. I’m able to add some more down the line if a new name comes strongly into the mix and you’ll be able to vote for 2 options as well as change your vote if you wish <ok>

It'd probably be a good idea to put up one for his replacement as well....
