Tommy Burns died on the same day of the UEFA cup final - games would've been cancelled if some shower of chancers hadn't chopped and changed half the season and had games AFTER the final moved "to help them in the UEFA Cup" apparently. I'm sick of this subject - why can't you lot accept that it was your own fault cancelling games unnecessarily instead of doing this Phil O'Donnell conspiracy nonsense.
At least you've gave up on your ridiculous claim Boruc got an award for being the best goalie at WC2006. Jan Vennegoor & Boruc had to join up with their clubs on the 26th!?! Is that it? Is that why the league couldn't be extended? Or was it the tour of Japan?
Didn't Rangers also have to cancel games because they're pipes froze? And didn't they have to replay League and Scottish cup games because they drew with the likes of Partick Thistle?
He actually died the day after the game. I'm pretty sure when Phil O'Donnell left Celtic the owners at the time said he would never set foot in Celtic Park again because of the way he treated the club. SO this guy who walks out on Celtic gets a game postponed for him yet one of Celtics greatest ever players and former manager/coach dies and he gets nothing. Seems a little strange don't you think.
This is ****ing desperate You lost the UEFA final because you barely got out your own half and Zenit were better than you. Stop making ****ing excuses for Walter's negative tactics.
I cant say the better team one, because I never saw the game but I would imagine it is a lot easier to play negative than attacking football when you are physically ****ed no?
You played the same tactics in every round and you weren't ****ed in the early rounds were you? Do you honestly think if you'd had a couple of days off Walter would have tried different tactics?
that's not the point at all. Celtic should never of postponed a game because a former player died. did the premiership grind to a hault when speed died?
maybe they would of been able to counter like they did in previous rounds. like I said I never saw the match so I cant really comment FTP GSTQ 1690
No you mentioned other FAs helping teams so I mentioned Middlesborough. As for the 4 Competitions argument, i've heard it before and laughed at it, so please tell me, were Rangers due "special treatment" because they were going for 4 trophies? If so why? I'll answer my own question, they were not entitled to any special treatment because they were the ones who postponed the Gretna game after they LIED to the SPL about Lyon (i think) getting a postponment from the French FA. But anyway, you never answered my original question, how were the SFA/SPL supposed to help Rangers without disadvantaging at least 5 other SCOTTISH teams in the process? The simple answer is they could not.
Do you ever remember the booking at Inverness that got Mcgeady suspended?? some ict thug halved him in two , Aiden got and stared at him , ref must have known Mcgeady was one booking away from missing old firm game , strangest booking I've ever seen
He wasnt still playing and didnt die on the pitch But even but for that his former clubs did consider whether to play on or not Rangers also consented to the game being cancelled too - but thats not the point is it? As it doesnt suit your point
No - it's not strange at all. 5 of the 6 SPL games were cancelled that weekend - more than one Dundee United player expressed their concern in the papers that their game WASN'T cancelled. Games physically couldn't be cancelled after Burns died because Rangers had already re-drawn the fixtures. This has to be among the most retarded arguments any club's fans have ever attempted After the OF game before the Scotland - Italy game was cancelled, Rangers claimed this as a benchmark and started pulling nonsense - nonsense that they themselves had refused for Hearts and Celtic in previous seasons (despite Hearts doing them a favour about it previously). This daft ****ing argument happened every day for a season on 606 - I can't believe you lot are still trying to spin this rubbish
