A lot of their seats are empty at home games.
Now stay with me on this one - Ever since a certain JH kept on about our 20,000 crowd I have been checking on theirs.
This season, so far, their best home gate has been 23655 as opposed to our 20526 (last game).
Capacity of the grounds are 26828 against our 20500.
Cardiff best attendance is therefore 85.78% of thier capacity, ours is 100.13%. Whichever way they face, if they are wood or plastic, they don't have Liverpool or Cardiff shirts in them, so why don't they just take them out.

Cardiff need all the plastics they can get. But, can they get them to stay till the end of the game????? The seats whichever way they face, if they are wood or plastic, they don't have Liverpool or Cardiff shirts in them, so why don't they just take them out.

Be interesting how they plan to fill the allocation without the 'Plastic' element, perhaps this shirt plan is one way. The next will be a free PIE, and championship pass for next season.

What I meant by the wrong way is that they face towards the pitch. Given the usual fare that's served up perhaps they should face the other way. On the other hand due to the way certain Cardiff fans behave then perhaps that's the penance for their crimes being forced to endure 90 mins of hoofball.

But needs to get the percentages right first -
This season, so far, their best home gate has been 23655 as opposed to our 20526 (last game).
Capacity of the grounds are 26828 against our 22500.

Where did 100.13% come from? I make it just over 91%

Thai i think the 22500 should of been 20500 as that is our officially capacity, correct me if i am wrong typo error, from all accounts you have the greatest percentage in the prem @ around 108% good effort

hopefully we will have a few more seats added to fortress liberty next year <fingers crossed>

Thai, Beppe spotted my mistake, the capacity is 20500, my typo. So now do the sums, we have them filling the rafters to watch us play. In fact, it certainly helps when the away seating is fully taken up.

Saw some Cardiff v Blackpool highlights earlier. Looked like lots of empty seats.

bollocks. theres almost always loads of space around the away fans, who rarely come anywhere near to selling out their capacity (usually about 1000, if that), in the PL i'm guessing away fans grab every ticket they can get their hand on, when the away fans took their full allocation (palace) the attendance was like 25,500 (though admittedly it was a semi final, the final will be live on sky sports), the only spare seats around the away fans for health and safety!

i've sat (or stood) on the column nearest them before, many of the people were old, not much chance of us attacking them, the CCS clearly doesnt have a capacity of 26000 on match day so why do people keep quoting that figure and then say its only 85% full?

Because we've had exactly the same thing thrown at us from your lot when we were first in the PL?

"Only 19,800- can't you fill your poxy council stadium?" Maybe not those exact words, but we've had that loads. Give and take, innit.
