Could Leeds United really be a few months away from returning to the big time? We have the players. We have the fans. We have the stadium (well we play in it). The missing piece is the manager! Get the right man in and who knows? Some of you seem to be forgetting who we are... Have Leeds United ever done anything simple? Lets back the boys and see what happens! I really wouldn't write us off just yet. Excited for the rest of the season, don't let us down Bates! On On On!
Marko, that was really hard to resist but i think i did it It is all dependant on who we make manager. I wouldn't say we are one of the favourites to get into the play-offs but its certainly more than possible
Upcoming match Saturday should give us a better idea of what our team is capable. Brighton in similar table position with a very good manager. If we beat an eleven man Brighton, then we've got a chance. If we put on another home horror show, i.e. three or four nil defeat, then forget it
Yes we can, as some bloke said a while ago. Leeds being Leeds though, we'll still have to win our last game 5-0 & hope other results go our way!!! We never make life easy for ourselves.
You have to admit though it is so much more exciting when we win that last game 5-0 and every other result goes our way.
I like that kind of excitement. When it includes other clubs that I have no affiliation with. When it's Leeds I want to see success.
The opening post is a bit of a nonsense post if you ask me, I fail to understand how anyone can believe we have the players to 'return to the big time' not alone play in it. Take away the loan players and we have a couple of promising young defenders, we have a couple of decent midfielders and two strikers who are not proven at premier level, the current team would be destroyed week in and week out at the top level WITH the loan players that we have, take them out of it and we are a very weak team.
Agreed but probably not relevant. If promoted, its likely we would have to basically acquire a new team. Wouldn't be a problem with King Ken handing over the 40m we would receive to Redfearn during the summer. Just keeping the positivity going
Ken won't hand over the money though. He'll come up with the same old bullshit saying "it's not given to us in a lump sum, he can have it in january" and then it'll magically disappear somewhere
its not actually given in a lump sum... Not that we dont get money instantly when up though, think we get given around 20m almost immediately but that doesn't stop us paying in installments like west ham seem so keen to do
I know it's not paid in a lump sum, which means it's a "valid" excuse for Ken to not give the manager any of it to buy players in the summer. I honestly believe we'll still spend **** all even if we go up.
Can we do this. Well you got your answer today. Different manager so what's the common denominator? I'll tell you, a poor team
