It appears Ken Bates may have actually made the right decision for once. Although obviously it's also the right decision for his pocket, as putting Sven in charge would cost a fortune and he'd still **** it up.

I've never liked Eriksson and don't understand why he's so highly rated that clubs queue up to throw money at him. For once I'm glad we have a tight-arse for a chairman !

Can't see him appointing anyone other than Redfearn before the end of the season.

Even the Barnet chairman would get that one right.

As opposed to the chairmen of Gothenburg, Benfica (twice), Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Lazio, Manchester City, Notts County, Leicester City and the FA's of England, Mexico and Ivory Coast.

Right decision not to hire him.

Wrong decision to childishly tell the press about confidential job applications.

Bates makes himself look like a cock yet again.

Agreed, I thought that when the news came out.

What employer would actually reveal who they'd had job applications from. A knob of the highest calibre.

Despite Sven losing his job at Leicester most fans found him refreshingly honest and likable.I personally wish he had been given more time. When he left we were 2 points from the play offs, we are now 8 so not a great decision? But despite all that his application and refusal of interview should have been confidential. To me Bates has yet again proved what a moron he is.You guys do deserve better. As for Sven I hope he gets a top job soon.

Bates is trying to get praise from the fans for making a good decision. He's a dumb **** who thinks he's smarter than everyone, thinks us little people aren't stupid enough to see through everything he says. Unfortunately, some people on this board don't see through it as the cover up it is.

Only reason he turned him down is because sven is way out of bates league in terms of finance. Bates will be looking for cheapest alternatives almost regardless of ability to manage

Im convinced bates dosent want us to go to the premiership cause he might have to declare who REALLY owns us, and he is doing a darn good job doing just that, all we are is a nice little earner for his monaco lifestyle

Easy sorted. Boycott matches, cut off his revenue stream and hell be off. This is the right season to do it as with our current setup we haven't a hope in hell of promotion anyway.
It's been said often enough, hopefully fans are beginning to cop on. Lets all show bates he isn't the boss only a temporary caretaker, and very temporary at that

Another meagre showing in the summer transfer window is going to be the straw that broke the camels back. After the diminishing belief in the club over this season, any fans who weren't on board with Bates out will be after summer.

Thank God for that Marko. Another season of this crap would be too much to take for many of us. On a personal level, as much as Ive always loved traveling over from here to matches and bringing my kids, money is just too hard to come by to waste on the current goings on at Elland Road. But when that bastard Bates is finally removed whether financially or a wooden box, I'll happily board a plane and look forward to seeing my old club in action again as it was in the good old days

As well as revealing that Sven has applied, it was also said that an 11 year old boy has also applied, they did however not name the lad, so maybe he is in with a shout?

We do know that Bates really owns us. Do you not remember the Great Unveiling at the back-end of last season?
