Just this once, against the Arse.

Also, come on the Manchestershire RedSox against Racists FC

Remember, the enemy of my enemy is my friend....

Think we'll have a draw, Sunderland need knocking down a peg.

I'd actually be perfectly happy with a draw.

You probably wouldn't understand, what with your team not being in competition for a European spot

The way Sunderland are going at the moment I'm starting to look over my shoulder.

Would rather be beaten in the league by Arsenal than the Mackems.

pointless thread. Theres still plenty of games left and unless it was last few games of the season I would never wish for a sunderland win

**** that, come on Arsenal. I'll never want a Sunderland victory. (draw would be best I suppose given both are teams that could finish above us) Certainly a Man U win is preferable.

Do you read The Sun or Daily Star by any chance?

Yes but momentum matters and the longer we stay where we are, the more likely we are to stay where we are.

This weekend could potentially see us drop two places or rise one. If it takes a result for the Mackems to keep us in contention, then I can live with that.

Because a Sunderland result would benefit our league positioning.

Still be 5th if the game was drawn, regardless of the result in the Tottenham v Newcastle match.

On the long term it's better that Arsenal win to keep the gap between 7th and 8th ...

We are really Dave but playing it down all season and being happy with 7th or 8th seems to be working! We're all too superstitious to start playing the big shot. I think class will tell truth be told but there is no doubt Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all in transitional seasons after massive changes in personnel and new management, and this year may represent the best opportunity for a club outside of the usual top 6 to sneak in and upset the apple cart.

After thrashing blackburn last week you must be a bit confident?
