Ian Wright believes that the Rs will be relegated Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes that QPR will be relegated at the end of the season and will be lucky to even pick up a point from their last 10 games. The west London club are a point from safety behind Bolton after their 2-1 defeat at the Lancashire outfit on Saturday and have only won once in their last 16 matches. The Rs play six of the top seven clubs in their remaining games with trips to Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City as well as welcoming Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham to Loftus Road and Shaun Wright-Phillips father believes they will be lucky to get anything in their remaining games. I think the players that have come in have not performed to the level that they should, simple as that, Wright said. I think that they've got quality players but there just not playing well, none of them. “When you get into a situation where you’re losing it’s hard to get out of it, and things like [Clint Hill’s disallowed goal at Bolton on Saturday] happen. “All of a sudden you score a goal, it’s a foot-and-a-half behind the line, it doesn’t get given and those are those are the things that go against you. “Then you look at their run-in and I honestly can’t see them getting a point out of that so it looks like, for me, Wigan, QPR and Wolves [to go down].”
Strange input from him, especially seeing as it might have an effect on Shaun. Why does everyone say that it's only one point for safety?!
I have more confidence in us than Ian Wright. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I honestly believe our luck is going to change and we can win our next 3 games. Liverpool aren't great at the moment and are beatable, Sunderland are on a good run but are due a poor performance and Arsenal will not like coming to our place. I also think 10 more points will be enough this season, the other clubs down there with us are dogsh1t. Us and Bolton to get out of it.......
Utter Rubbish from Ian Wright............. He probably predicted that we would lose to Chelsea at home........ We have a better squad than the other bottom teams and they equally have hard games as well........... Keep the faith and lets cheer the lads on, lots of points still to play for....................
The more people say stuff like Wright has, the better. What team doesn't perform better when they're written off?
I've met the guy and he isn't half miserable. Didn't seem to happy to have his picture taken with me in my Chelsea shirt bey hey-ho. Ian Wright is extremely knee-jerk, yesterday he seemed sure Arsenal would win 3-1, this was a guy that only a few weeks back was calling for Wenger to resign. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ust-give-Theo-Walcott-a-new-contract-now.html You just know after one or two bad games he'll be calling for Walcott to be sold. Law of averages suggests QPR as will every other team pick up more points between now and May, no PL team won't
Definitely. Bradley was with him in Vegas for his stag do whereas Shaun wasn't. From what I gather he and Bradley are a lot closer and Bradley is his biological son if I'm not mistaken?
When we do gain points he will probably claim that it is down to him kicking the team up the arse. Retard.
It's probably wishful thinking on Ian Wrights part. I don't think he likes us anyway. Does anyone remember when he had a run-in with some Rangers fans when he went to watch SWP play for Citeh at HQ?
Good point I am changing my team after 43 years to Swansea and changing my name to the ball goes wide to Nathan Dyer
For once I agree with him, everything that can go wrong has gone wrong, weve got a goalie who cant save anything, everyone bar the old guard and Cisse are under performing and weve perfected the art of losing every game by a single goal and look doomed, I also agree with his other 2 picks to go down as well.
I agree. The more the merrier. Much prefer to have us written off by prats like him. Takes the pressure off the players. I'll say one thing for him though. He's not under any illusions about how **** his son is, is he?! No sneaking suspicion that Shaun might yet come good and actually score a couple of goals! Tough love, eh?
I think you have to be seriously deluded that either will come good, they havent even shown glimpses. Not one MOTM performance between them in about 70 odd games.
Look at that ... The ball goes wide to Nathan Dyer "If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again"
"The black players at this club lend the side a lot of skill and flair, but you also need white players in there to balance things up and give the team some brains and some common sense." Crystal Palace chairman Ron Noades, speaking in 1991
