When Reading won the Championship, they said they would follow the 'Norwich/Swansea' model of signing lower league players etc.

This rumour has blown that idea totally 'out of the water'

He will pick up £65,000 a week over four years if he joins the Premier League new-boys after spending half of last season on a short-term deal at Fulham. I believe the wage cap at Norwich to be in the region of £20,000 a week!!!

Red Tops are always spot on with their stories aren't they? He's signing on a free and his wages will be around £30k a week.

yep, the truth seems to be far closer to what TSB has just said - we've got over 300 pages of transfer rumour posts on our specialist site, and whilst it's good fun reading through them the pure reality at the end of the day is that 90%+ of them are ultimately fake/untrue/exaggeration!!

Reading have just been through a take over so wouldn't surprise me if the board splashed the cash as a sign of intent

Not our Board's style to 'Splash the cash though mate'. Money will be spent, but it won't be on a large scale. £15m tops and that will probably account for wages too.
