Please post anything to do with the upcoming tough match with Wolves in this thread please. Any other thread on the subject will be merged into this thread.
As long as we play like we have played these last 4-5 weeks, we will destroy them. Just hope none of our 2 remaining forwards get's injured.
According to Henry its going to be "a bloodbath" yep Anywho, Im entering this game like playing the Baggies (although those beggars pulled one back last time we played), weve got a good record against Wolves and a win will pretty much make us safe for another season. Wolves will be playing for there lives (as usual) but TP defo will have fired the lads up, and with Man City Winning last night I imagine the team will be well chuffed that Europe is now in touching distance. Stoke 2 - 0 ****y Wanderers
Wolves have quite a similar style to us, and we tend to do it better than they do, so I reckon we'll win this one. It won't turn out like the Blackpool game before christmas, were we just ended up chasing shadows all over the pitch while they passed rings around us.
Karl Henry Predicts "Dirty, ugly game" "Both teams will be kicking lumps out of each other. It's going to be an ugly, dirty game that no one wants to go and watch." I'll go see that Karl
Outstanding! Again! Great all round performance. Men against boys. Tragic bout Etherington tho. Injury nightmares about the final now!!
Excellent performance yet again from the lads. Everyone bar Begovic, who I thought looked very shaky considering he had nought to do all game, played very well. Pennant was very good, worked very hard, was all over their left back all game. Whelan just does what he does well, kept it ticking, played some intelligent passes. The back 4 was solid, did their job. Super Jonny and Jones were excellent together again, they do work so well together. Jones was unlucky that he was getting his back climbed all over by Berra all game and he got hardly any support from the referee all game. What can I say about Jon Walters that hasn't been said about him before? He worked exceptionally hard, he ran all over the pitch, hardly a blade of grass he didn't cover, harassed their centre halves all game, linked up well with Jones and thoroughly deserved to get a goal, and I thought he had one with that shot near the end, still cannot believe that didn't go in.
Wolves fans are a disgrace. Matty being stretchered off and they sing and point at him "you're not going to Wembley" Booed their side off at half time then booed their manager off at full time. Proud to be a Potter and not a "Dingle" !
****y Wanderers, agreed fellas, total disgrace, what ive learnt being a Stoke fan is, when times are hard, no matter what, you stick behind the players. Going back to the Bolton game, watching them fans walk out at half time, i would never do that. As fans were all entitled to an opinion, and ive done my fair share of bitching, but booing the team or manager, not my style. Wolves should be proud that a fellow 'Staffordshire' team has the oppurtunity to bring the FA cup to our part of the country! ****e team, bitter fans, il be glad when they get relegated. UP THE MIGHTY POTTERS
I saw a Wolves fan going home just after the 3rd goal, first I thought he was holding a big flag up, then I looked again and he was folding it up and on his way out!
On a brighter note, I missed the Ability Counts display, but it was dead good when everyone applauded them off, they were proper buzzing off that.
Absolutely disgraced at the behaviour of the wolves fans. I excpected better. Its bloody ridiculous !! If stoke injured a player badly, half of our team would be running yo the injured guy, shouting over to the medics and physios, to help him, and our fans wouldn't say a bloody word. Whatever happened to good sports in football, ey?
