    Off Topic:::

I wouldnt say the limitation on website views is wrong. People still have to make a living and to fund excellent publications for your entertainment.

Isn't that what advertising revenue is for?

I can understand the Plus articles being pay-per-view on the basis that the salaries for the experts will be expensive but given that it's not exactly difficult to find out the news elsewhere, surely they're shooting themselves in the foot somewhat.

Does Perez not going to Ferrari now prove that Vettel is almost 100% going to Ferrari in 2014.

Why would you subscribe to them to get information that's in the public domain? The plus content - the articles and specialist insight - fine, but trying to sell three-paragraph snippets that usually have no more information than what's in the headline is pure greed. Good luck to them if they think they can get away with it but it'll stop me visiting altogether.

Thats the problem. Everything is free (or cheap) on the internet. Thats why the economy has gone to poop. A little control is needed.

That's not remotely why the economy has gone to poop. The economy's gone to poop because idiotic politicians relaxed financial safeguards to allow their coke-fuelled city pals access to people's mortgages and loans to gamble with and sell to each other to suck the value out of society and stuff it in their own pockets.

The internet stimulates entrepreneurial enterprise by facilitating access to more and more varied experiences and products and providing a path to profitable value-added content.

sorry I ddnt mean the only reason but one of.

Internet vending is slowly killing off the high street which will lead to unemployment which then leads to no money going around which leads to buggered.

Anyway, we are completely off topic.

Yeah but it's worth an argument. You should set up a random thread in O/T to dump all these diversions and Kyle's late night musings in.

So pleased about this. A big driver moving, a young driver moving to a big team, and Schumacher given the elbow. <diva> Really didn't expect Hamilton to go through with it. I'd completely dismissed the Perez to McLaren rumours as well due to his Ferrari connections. Just need Ferrari to get rid of Massa now.

I expect Hamilton to thrash Rosberg next year, and Button to narrowly beat Perez.

I really hope Bottas gets the Williams drive, and then a Red Bull one the following season when Vettel moves to Ferrari.

Give this thread the snip then?

Here's a bit of a spanner of speculation:

Formula Money author Chris Sylt is Joe Saward's arch enemy.

The BBC has caught up with Autosport now:

Also, Hamilton's team instigated the move, rather than Mercedes GP trying to sign him, and Schumacher hasn't been pushed out but simply hasn't yet made up his mind whether he wants to continue.

So, with no #1 status and no guarantees over new engines in 2014 allowing Mercedes GP to steal a march on customer teams, it looks to me more like Hamilton just wanted to get away from McLaren. As David Coulthard said, their relationship had simply run its course. Mercedes was just the best best non-McLaren available option.

I'm not surprised about this. Back in May, Mark Hughes mentioned (when leaking the Vettel-Ferrari agreement) that it was Hamilton's management that had approached Ferrari about a possible move and then they had been told about Vettel.

On Ferrari's line-up La Gazzetta says this:

The key thing here (other than ruling out Schumacher) is that there's no mention of Kovalainen.

Which means Vettel is going to Ferrari in 2014. Red Bull are screwed.

Indeed, though I believe RBR will survive when Seb leaves for Ferrari. I predict Kimi will go there followed by some RBR youth.
