Jose Enrique for Raul Meireles swap?

  1. Alright, if Liverpool really want Enrique, they need to offer us something better than 8 million and ****ing bald twat Konchesky.

We don't need any more money, but we need players, so why don't we ask for a straight swap -

    Enrique for Meirelles.

They can call us foolish or deluded if they want. If they really do want Enrique, they have to swap him for a vital player on their team, because we'll be getting rid of one of the best fullbacks in this league, and arguably our best player.

We need attacking players and quality midfielders, they need a left back.

Seems like a fair deal to me.

Enrique is worth 15 million, they bought Raul Meireles for 10.2 million from Porto.

If they think they can give us 8 million and a piece of **** fullback in return, then they can seriously go **** themselves.

Tiote and Meireles in the middle? Sounds okay... didn't like him until the back end of this season, but he's scored some stunners!

  3. I was thinking of this formation -

    ------------------Striker-----------------------

    Ben Arfa----------Meireles--------------Gerivnho

    -----------Tiote-------------Barton------------

Why the **** would you want another centre midfielder?

  6. He can play attacking mid or CM. It will give us the selection headache in a good way. Imagine it - Tiote, Ireland, Barton, Nolan and Meireles all battling for a CM spot.

I would imagine that, but then think its ridiculous to think that our club captain, top scorer and MVP, Kevin Nolan is left out because we signed a new midfielder.

There is no way Nolan wont be first name on the team sheet next season, he has proven how vital he is to this team, and is our captain for a reason.

    Nolan > Meireles.

Maybe not technically, but for passion, drive, goals and team spirit, Id rather Nolan in the team than the walking Ink Blot Test!

Not bad, and with suspensions/injuries, theres room for Nolan to come in frequently. Can't see Pardew going for anything as attacking as that mind, seems to be 4-4-2, or 4-5-1, or 5-3-2 with him...

Wouldn't want Ireland next season if we got Meireles.

i won't except nothing less than a straight swap for Kenny Dalglish's dour head on a stick, think this is actually worse as he's in charge am i the only paranoid one thinking this is his perverse way of paying us back by nicking our best players.

side-note:Gerivnho apparently we've had a 8 mil bid turned down

He already ****ed us over when he was in charge with us... or was that not enough?

  12. Why not? Only 4 million, and will keep squad depth. He's better than Guthrie, Raylor, Nolan and Jonas on form.

  14. I doubt our club would be so stupid as to make such a pathetic bid. Not only have Villa already bid 10m last summer and had it turned down, but he's probably the second best winger in the french league behind Hazard.

Pardew is smarter than to make so a petty bid. We need to respect Lille or else they'll refuse to do business with us all together. We should offer 12m at first rising to 15m.

That's the problem... is he ever going to play enough games in a row to get his City form back? How do we know he hasn't lost it? As the Fifa commentators say, Class is permanent, Form is temporary ;)

  16. Well he showed what he could do when he came on for us these last couple of games. I know they were only brief cameo's but his passing and distribution was excellent. I say if a 5 million pound risk on ben arfa is worth it, then a 4 mil pound risk is worth it on a bloke that has proven himself at this level already.

Meireles is cack. He's 28 as well, I don't want us signing players who are the way down. Not a position we need to be strengthening either. I wouldn't have any of Liverpool's players, if they were any good they wouldn't be after our's.

Hes 28 so it would be pointless giving them a young player and us getting a player who has 3 good years in him. Invest the money in a young, good prospect and build for the future.

Not convinced by him stringing a few passes together for 49 minutes over two games I'm afraid. But suppose with todays value, I couldn't complain at a £4m gamble, but certainly no more than £5m.
