He's signed until June 2015 according to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club and I suspect they'd know. So he won't be coming to us on a FAT, to play in the BPL, you FMC.
I suspect the list was made before he signed a new deal. He's the sort of player we should be looking at. A few names I wouldn't mind seeing us go for: Younes Belhanda (target for big 4, so probably not), Aiden McGeady at Spartak Moscow (might cost a wedge), Matty James at Leicester, Gary Mackay Steven at Dundee United and Odion Ighalo from Copenhagen (or some other danish club).
Callum McManaman (Wigan £5m) - If he would come here, £5m would be a bargain IMO. Great player. Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn £4m) - Showed he can score bags of goals. Since as in Blackburn paid £8m, £4m would be a good shout. Curtis Davies (Birmingham £2m) - Don't know if he's a Premier League player. I'd rather it be £1.5m or less. Danny Simpson (Newcastle FREE) - Would rather have Rosenior IMO. Nick Powell (Manchester United Season-long loan) - Great potential. Would definitely have him here. John Guidetti (Manchester City Season-long loan) - Again, great potential. Good, tall, strong target man. Would have him here without thinking twice. Andy King (Leicester City £1.5m) - Is he any better than we've got? I'd say Meyler, Quinn, Koren etc were all better than him. Waste of money. Shaun Maloney (Wigan £3m) - Bargain, great player that works his socks off. Would have him here in an instant. Paul Scharner (Wigan £2m) - Looked decent for Wigan, wouldn't say he's better than Hobbs/Chester though. Better Premier League player than Bruce/McShane. (Blasphemy against McTorres the Mesiah) Jon Walters (Stoke City £3m) - Great target man, but for £3m? Maybe avoid. Would rather have Guidetti. Jamie O'Hara (Wolves £1m) - Similar situation with Andy King. Would this be necessary? Vito Mannone (Arsenal £1.5m) and/or David Stockdale (Fulham £3m) - Would much rather have Mannone. Better value for money IMO. Stockdale is decent, but Mannone is better. Nakhi Wells (Bradford City £2m) - Another with great potential. Would be lovely to snatch him before Palace do. Hull City are also ready to allow the following to leave: Seyi Olofinjana (Sheffield Wednesday FREE) - Makes perfect sense. Liam Rosenior (Leeds FREE) - Would rather him stay. Brilliant Right-back with Premier League experience already. Nick Proschwitz (SC Paderborn Season-long loan) - Seen this rumoured before. Would rather see him another crack with us next Season though. Premier League might suit his style more. Jay Simpson (Wolves £1m) - Out of contract isn't he? Maybe Wolves for FREE. Paul McKenna (Retirement) - Is he retiring? Andy Dawson (Retirement - possible coaching role at the Club) - Would love for Dawson to have a coaching role at the Club. Legend. Mark Cullen (Bury £150k) - Someone will actually pay money for Mark Cullen? Jamie Devitt (Bradford City £100k) - Suits his style more. Matty Fryatt (Derby County £1m) - Surprising if true, though I think he'll have a crack at the Premier League. Aaron McLean (Notts County FREE) - Great guy, but if he can't succeed in the Championship, the Premier League is no place for him. That's probably his level anyway. If that's from football-rumours.com, that's probably one of the more logical and best posts I've seen from that site. Interestingly no mention of Grant Holt, Darren Bent, Titus Bramble and Chris Kirkland that just seems to be regurgitated on that site. Lots of credible moves there that I would be more than happy with.
Arghh, I went for "****ing miserable ****". Close enough. Both are accurate enough. That's what you were basing it on? You make such strong "FACT"ual arguments based on absolutely **** all every single time.
Out of contract lists are made at the start of the season, players (such as Bridcutt) have been known to sign extensions between the start of the season and the end. Or should that be: OOC FAT lists are made at the start of the season?
re Bridcutt - article in the mirror says baggies and norwich are interested and that he is under contract until 2015 and therefore would demand a fee of approx £5mill.
I mentioned the press speculation about us going for Kasper Schmeichel on the goalkeeper thread. It is in the Mirror and the Sun http://www1.skysports.com/transfer-centre/papertalk
Some more City related drivel from Football-rumours. Due to Blackburn Rovers' spiralling wage expenditure, they are ready to offload many top earning players. Jordan Rhodes will be the first to leave, with Aston Villa, Hull City and West Ham interested. All three interested teams will look to spend £4m which Blackburn have already said will suffice. Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies will be a Hull City player within the next fortnight, with a deal being discussed right now. Manchester United youngster Nick Powell, signed from Crewe Alexandra, is desperate for first team football and will be loaned out to either Hull City or Cardiff City to help boost their attacking options to help stay in the English Premier League. Middlesbrough are looking to sign Hull City skipper Robert Koren who is thought to fall surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium following Promotion to the top flight. Tony Mowbray is keen to reunite the Slovenian talisman after a successful history when together at West Bromich Albion. Newcastle right-back Danny Simpson has fallen out of favour at St. James's Park following the signing of Matthieu Debuchy and will be either a Stoke, Hull City or West Ham player next Season after his contract expires.
