Not yet, The quest line is there to start, just been finishing up on some lower level quests and side quests but I'm going to start it tonight as I only read of Shadowmare yesterday. Just need to convince the missus to surrender the tv for the night. I've heard Shadowmare can take out the lower level dragons. (Sounds like I'm talking about Joe Kinnear)
Dragon Priest masks are essential, go and ask the Greybeards where you can find a shout and they'll send you to a cave, at the end of the cave will be a Dragon Priest and once dead you can take his mask which will give you special powers, the waterbreathing one is by far the best.
Look out for the magic book that let's you magic up a certain power a level. With the right cheats you can level up all the way, then the fun starts
That mask is great there's a sunken ship off the coast of Solitude with lots of items. The Jabberwock staff is also fun it changes people into random things so a troll into a chicken for example but also works the other way.
I eventually lost Shadowmere somewhere. He does die occasionally ,but regenerates. I forgot where he was and could never find him again. So your missus is turning into a Skyrim widow then? My kids were going mental at me over it as I kept hogging the big telly.
I didn't get the chance to ride Shadowmere, I decided to kill the Brotherhood please log in to view this image
She's going down fighting mate. It's a good warm up Think she prefers it to being a football manager widow.

She's like a geek Mike Oldfield That's maybe unfair she is talented, but I agree she's taking it to extremes. Do you think she has an Imperial version?
My Shadowmere disappeared after a bit, I went into a barrow, came back and he weren't there! I liked the talking Jewish dog though, once you've found the axe, don't go bother goingback to the God thing that sent you on the quest, he just wants you to kill the dog. If you don't go back, the dog stays with you, he attacks everything and doesn't die. Just don't go swinging that axe you find near him, it's the only thing that can kill him.
That's a good tip. I'm still playing my no fast travel game levelling up is quicker as I'm constantly coming accross more bandits, animals etc.
Tip: Haunted House in Markarth quest. Once you have the priest trapped hit him with the mace until his health is low then use healing hands to heal him and repeat. This will increase one handed and restoration magic until you get bored.
Bri been playing this ages, totally agree a great game that you can keep coming back too. By the way how do you check how much of the game you've completed? I've done most of the main quests (I think).
I don't know mate. Not really checked. It's not as organised as Fallout imo. The Pip Boy is the daddy.
