First question should this be here or on the Music Board. Who cares? Anyway, there are some cracking movie tunes out there. Without the music, some of the great movies wouldn't be what they are. Can you imagine Steve McQueen in the motorcycle scene in the Great Escape without the music. It wouldn't be the same. One of my favourites. Kelly's Heroes The Mike Curb Congregation - Burning Bridges
As good as the film is, without the music there would be no Italian Job. From the start in the Alps, the Prison, car chases and to the End.
of course there is. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
John Williams is the king for me. When Spielberg asked him to do the music for 'Schindler's List', he told Spielberg that there were better composers than him around. Spielberg replied, "Maybe. But they're all dead." Not a bad endorsement. My favourite film score though is "Where Eagles Dare"
Laurel and Hardy Trail of the Lonesome Pine (was it from Way Out West)
one more the Seven Samurai

You know what? I wasn't actually that impressed with Easy Rider. It was okay. Nothing special. Same could be said for Spinal Tap.
Steve McQueen and the Legendary Motorcycle Scene (on a Triumph 6 apparently) Turn the sound off, and it just becomes some bloke riding around the fields being chased by knackers with guns!!!
Neither was I apart from ten minutes of Jack Nicholson or so, but they the mode of transport was more aesthetically pleasing than these daft wee scooters. I will say I far prefer The Who track than Born to be wild. I liked the theme from Lost Highway.
I like the final scenes from Quadrophenia. Brilliant music in the context of the movie. I never realised until just now, but when you watch Jimmy, he has the feel of Steve McQueen about him. Someone trying to escape riding along on his two wheeled object. Only missing are the b******s with the guns.
We'll get Dev in to do that one.
