PAOLO DI CANIO ‘fractured’ a club proud to be close to its roots was the claim from Carlos Cuellar last night after being given another chance to revive his own Sunderland career.

    http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sp...actured_by_Di_Canio_says_Sunderland_defender/

    If already posted my apologies.

This translates as PDC didn't rate me as a defender as I was **** but I thought I was brilliant.
But now I can get games and be **** and claim all is well in our "family".

With JOS sticking the knife in the other day and now this other pile of **** piling in. I once again fear the players have got what they wanted.
Their days free for the golf course or race course or main course (with extra fried onions.)

I truly am disgusted with these so called professionals.
These two big mouthed twats are together our worst players and are happy to ride out their careers, here taking huge wages and couldn't give two ****s about my club.
You weren't played because you are ****e Carlos! PDC wasn't being personal!

Do I sound angry and in drink?
    I should, because I am. :p

Not helped by a rather lively debate in the pub earlier with a dickhead ranting about fascists should never have been in his club in the first place. He also went on about JOS being our best player and was right to say PDC is gone and we should move on.
Steve Bruce shouldn't have been sacked as he is the best manager to ever manage Sunderland!
This fool who we didn't know from Adam was a big lad, but a couple of my mates are renowned for taking on lads bigger than themselves just for laughs. :p
He got much worse as the drink flowed and started making more and more outrageous statements that even the Daily Mail would think twice about voicing.
When he started getting more and more aggressive in his manner, not helped by us laughing at him.
My mate who has the rather exemplary honour to claim he hasn't missed a home game for 28 years, trying to calm the situation down asked him where he sat in the SOL.

    The reply?

"I wouldn't pay to watch that shower of ****e!"

Cue a chorus of go forth and multiply from us and luckily for him the pub manager.
He is probably one of those that post on the Echo site on the footy stories, who clearly have never watched a live game in their lives and get their footballing knowledge from TV highlights.

    Oh!
He also said Larsson was MOTM against the dippers. hahahahahaha

I like PDC but sadly he had to go because he tried to get rid of ****iness at the club and the ****iest couldn't hack it.

Damn shame. Now the new manager is left with a squad littered by ****s.

    One more for luck... ****.

Normally when we are having one of these drink fuelled discussions among me and my mates (not including the numpty. :p ) there's usually a bit of restraint and two sides and all that, about players.
Not one of my mates thinks anything but, that, these "senior" players are out and out ****s. :p

    ****s!

Usually ****s can be useful, sadly in this case there are two ****s and neither are of any use anymore, past their best before date. We can call them Jordan and Britney.

Pizza for the pair of them.

I am staggered that there are still some here wishing that PDC was still at the helm. In over 50 years supporting this club...never...have we be more nailed on to be relegated. I also puzzled as to why PDC has still got support from some given his tantrums, his total lack of man management, the way we were playing...need I go on. The man has been an unmitigated disaster for this club, he could have set us back years with his actions. I am pleased Short acted when he did. At least a new guy (who knows what he is doing hopefully) has time to get some points on the board.

Everyone going on about how poor the squad is - I'm certain that we all though, before the season started (and even after the first couple of games) that we had a better squad than last season - so what's changed??

Squad wise, other than Sessegnon, we look stronger in a lot of departments (when fully fit of course). We just need some luck to go our way which has been severely lacking of late. Don't get me wrong, I personally think we're going down (and I'm an optimistic person), but with a little luck we could get something going. Once the new manager comes in (not Bally as he seems to be a little too friendly with the senior playing staff) but a new manager may gel the squad (fingers crossed) - I liked the was Paolo spoke when talking about football but hated the "Paolo Di Canio is God" complex he had - did not like him coming on the pitch after games to take credit away from the players - that's not a good way to manage them IMO

Why are the club allowing these knackers to be spouting off to the media!!!!!!!

Cuellar has nothing to be proud of.

He's just the kind of lazy tosser who must have been horrified to be asked to train, eat and behave correctly.

I do think that Di Canio meant well, but in my opinion he didn't have a clue about man management..There are some on here chastising players for speaking to the media about Di Canio, but That was surely one of Di Canio's biggest faults...I loved his passion for the game, but if he is ever going to succeed at management, he will have to learn to engage his brain before opening his gob...

I truly believe he did mate.

He readily admits to his own mistakes and is pretty thick skinned as was proved by his coolness in the face of a media firestorm when he arrived.
Are these players really so fragile that they can't take a bit of banter?

I truly believe we'll all look back and ask what was so bad about what he was saying.

Look at it all and tell me if I'm wrong.

    O'Shea's tackle was poor.

Some foreign players need to adapt to the English game.

Wickham needs to buckle down and stop poncing about.

    Etc, etc, etc

Come on mate, is it really that explosive?

Smug, You know as well as I do, the tone and manner of the way PDC talks about players to the media was a nonsense. I have been in management for 35 years now, If I publically slated any member of my staff I would have to look out for my own job. These footballers are in the public eye 24/7 and whilst not immune from criticism they are also adult men and shouldn't be treated this way. we could all see the JOS tackle was stupid...did he need to underline that TV..I don't think so. I can tell you...if ANY manager openly had a go at me the way this guy did with some players..I would need to pulled off him. But take out his total lack of man management, were you really happy with performances? with his signings?. To me the man is a ticking time bomb for any club he goes to, thank god is not at ours anymore.

For a guy with a motor mouth like PDC has, do you not think he would have been vocal about it if there weren't....lets face it, he spouts off about pretty much everything, why not that.

I don't really have time to answer you properly but will come back later.

For the moment I'll just say that I'm becoming convinced of two things.

First, even people like you will look back and wonder if PDC's bluster was a necessary and contrived 'evil'.

Second, there's a dangerous & damaging anti-foreign clique that includes Kevin Ball, he's way too close to the 'Brits' like Bardsley, O'Shea, Colback.

100 Agree with that. FFsake we have a player so lazy he can't even be bothered to move when leaning on a post as well as these lazy bastards.

I have met Kevin Ball on a number of occasions, and have found him nothing less than honourable and a gentleman..I could not imagine him getting involved in underhand cliques!
As for PDC, as I have already stated, I admire his passion for the game, but that does not excuse some of his reported erratic behaviour, the worst for me being the players not allowed to speak to other members of staff at the club on match and training days.. I want to see everyone at the club pulling in the same direction, including all members of staff and the fans, and creating a hierarchical system throughout the club is not something I was happy about..

I cannot see me looking back on PDC brief reign with any kind of positives at all, then man could set this club back years and years if we don't get the right manager in soon.
I do think you may have a point about certain people in the club having issues with foreign players..not sure why i think this, I just do.

............ and there's the problem, reporting!

You know, as well as I do, that the press were after his blood from day one ........... I'd say the bullshit content was around 95% tbh.

As for Kevin Ball ..... well, I'd hate to think ill of him but this closeness to the 'Brits' is worrying.

It may be he's just more comfortable with 'his own kind' but there really does seem to be an 'anti-foreign clique' and, if that's true, we're ****ed as a club tbh.
