Well, thank **** that's over for another year. It's been a humbling experience and not altogether a surprising one when you consider we sold Wanyama and Hooper and didn't replace them with anywhere near the same quality. That still doesn't justify some of the performances last night. The inability to complete a six yard pass or hold up a ball is shocking, ableit against far superior opposition. Pukki is absolute ****ing pish.
Last season we punched massively above our weight and this season we have been shown up for what we really are - an average team at best, with a poor youth system and mince replacements for the players that dragged us in to the last 16 last time around. The blind faith shown by certain posters, is tempered by reality for the rest of us Pukki is absolute garbage.
The manager thought 3 of our defenders had good games, we lost 6, lucky not to lose 12 and posters on here want to blame puki !!!!Barcelona have turned over better teams than us, their work off the ball is incredible it was like watching a match they had 13 players we had 8 players , don't mind getting beat by a good team .
Aye, sorry Harry, I meant to say "It wishh a mashonic cunshhpirashy n ra mashons r refereesh n ra refereesh r masonsh, itsh un anti kafflick agenda so it ish"
just bottlers against big teams, they have the cheek to play little flicks and have confidence in tight areas against bad scottish teams, go into europe the ball becomes a hot tottie embarrassing is the only word, and not the scoreline or the game last night in particular, just overall
Not to mention those Spanish ****s are gonny put the boot into and independent Scotland being in the EU wherever and whenever they can
Someone said it was time Lawwell spent some money . He would have to spend one hell of an amount of money to be certain we wouldn't get turned over by Barca . I don't think selling Hooper made any difference , as we have seen him lost when not getting a supply of the ball. Wilson would have been lost too, but we missed big Vic big time . The defence were not exactly to blame because the midfield was running at the back four time and time again . I thought that on occasions that it looked as if Barcelona was playing zonal attacking , as they had about players in different parts of the Celtic area ready to pounce and score . Whatever chance we had , all hope was gone when they scored their second , their confidence was Sky high and they knew it would be a goal feast . Was Lennon using the match as a meaningless friendly or was Mulgrew not fit . I think most would have thought he needed Br Bi Mu and Le in midfield and Whoever he thought best after that . Two players without defensive bones would have been enough. Our record over the past fifteen months against Barca had been good , but it still hurts that we got a hiding . I think this season in the Champions League as a whole we have been too attack minded, we need to become strong in defence and midfield again .
We were due a doing off them. Play that game ten times and at least once we get well and truly humped. Players weren't really up for it tho.
