Newcastle Magpies is way too respectful to the original name. Expect 'Sports Direct North East branch' to be coming to a premier league near you soon

Have to admit I've done this before, I shall double my efforts and now only refer to Man U as manure. My apologies

I'm afraid the crime is far too despicable to accept an apology for.

I feel for those Hull City fans, even though it's only incorporating the club's nickname into the official name - another example of a nouveau riche owner acting as lord and master.

In the early years it was common for clubs to change their names - such as the cooly-named Leicester Fosse - but Hull City were formed 110 years ago. The one exception is Orient, who seem make little changes to their name every decade (they now hope to rename themselves London Orient soon). Come to think of it, why don't Hull and Orient amalgamate? They could play alternate games in those two cities and tap into the sub-continent market by renaming themselves the Bengal Tigers...

There's a lot more below the surface that the news doesn't report and only Hull City fans will know, and it's not just the changing of the name, it's the deceitful way that Allam did it; starting to have "Hull City Tigers" on the letterhead of emails, and the training ground badge having the "A.F.C" and "The Tigers" removed (Sagbo was pictured in front of it when he signed:

At first, when interviewed, the Club would constantly allege that the "Hull City Tigers" was just the Commercial side of the Club, not the actual Club identity. Before coming out and admitting that it was the complete opposite all along. The lying is what made it worse really, and lack of fan consultation, which really should play in our favour.

If he'd have changed it when we were on the brink of administration, then it wouldn't have been so bad, but he's gone from hero to villain very quickly. I suppose you had the same sort of situation when St. James's Park was renamed to the SportsDirect.Com Arena, and then there's the Cardiff fans pantomime villain Vincent Tan and his colour changes.

Just proves were a nation of pride and tradition.

Thanks for any support by the way, it's much appreciated.
