Mme Yorkie slipped on a very muddy track on our NYE walk.... and today went to hospital for an x-ray, just we thought to be safe, ... and has just texted and she does have a fracture ... spiral fracture whatever that is... so feeling a bit down here... and we have a trip , no.. holiday to the canaries in 4 weeks.... so all up in the air at the mo...
That's a bit of bad luck. A spiral fracture is just what the name suggests - rather than a clean break or snap, it's caused by twisting so looks a bit corkscrewy with jagged edges. Had one myself years ago - luckily it wasn't too bad and only took around 4 weeks in plaster to fix. If it's a bad one though, they usually need to pin the bones - which means a lot longer healing time. Hopefully it's not a bad one & she'll be like some EPL teams - tromping all over the Canaries next month.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ined_permanently_but_Merkel_s_move_is_a_loan/ Ranegie's move permanent - could this mean the start of an awesome partnership with Troy - one of similar magnitude to Jenkins/Blissett?
Thanks BB... no pin or plate needed thankfully... fingers crossed on the healing...it will be hard to keep her still though
I think with the right partner Troy can only be better... he has worked so hard this season often on his own...
Just catching up after our NYD party…sorry to hear the news about Mme Yorkie and hope all heals well and in good time..rather glad I cancelled my planned trip to Yeovil now. Happy New Year everyone…looking forward to 2014
One thing I forget too mention in my New Year greetings - I hope 2014 finds our missing posters in good health and prospering well. So SLB, Lenny and NNW, you are very missed from this board and hope all fares well for you.
Thought that would get a bite. But with Chelsea apparently sniffing around Gary Hooper, there may be an element of truth....
They can sniff all they like, he wouldn't go! He needs 1st team football to get his wish for an England call up!
Sorry to hear about Mme Yorkie's slip up...it's easily done. I managed an hour and a quarter on gym machines yesterday with no problem and then strained a muscle in my back putting trousers on. If there's a God up there, he's laughing his head off...
Thanks for your good wishes for a speedy recovery for Mme... me too I am now a servant Bring on the Canaries
Mystery man really - he has six months left on his Watford contract, but beyond that I've no idea. All I know is that he wasn't issued with a squad number at the start of the season - I seem to remember him being on trial at Leyton Orient, but nothing came of that.
Been out all day, so only just catching up. Best wishes to Mme Yorkie from us out here. Hope she heals up nice and quickly.
