Latest storm has arrived in bandit country and the wind and rain are blasting away at the windows again. Very strange winter so far...

Good morning all from a wet and windy Weston-super-Mare, I've no idea if we had a storm during the night, if we did, it certainly never woke me!

    Have a good day! <ok>

Very wet and windy first thing in bandit country, but it is now dry and the wind is dropping. Back to corporate madness!

Damp, grey, but sun trying hard to break through. Temperature didn't drop below 11°C overnight and could rise to the dizzy height of 16°C later this afternoon. My central heating has turned off which is very unusual for the time of the year.

Not good news on the injury front.

I wonder sometimes if we will ever have the pleasure of seeing Abdi in a Watford shirt again. :(

We have rain today. The snow depth is 30cm where veðurstofa are measuring this.

Our sad statistic for 2013 was there were 15 people dieing in automobile accidents. Five people under 18 years died in these accidents and this number makes road death the largest killer of teenagers and younger in the nation. For 2012 the number was 9 or about 0.00003 of the population. I found 1754 deaths in the UK for 2012 or 0.000028, so Ísland is a little more dangerous

One Icelandic company is to build some airships to carry passengers and freight up to 9.500kms.

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak, do your cars have spiked tyres or chains for the winter roads?

There's a leak in the roof of my office just above me :(

Stupid Grade-2 listed building, they said they can't repair it for ages. At least I have a bucket now...

Never mind kiwi, you can bask in the reflected glory of Wellington's 3-1 win over Western Sydney. Great performance and a great result for both you & Brisbane.;)

In Venezuela we had around 24000 deaths by murder which is about 0.1% of the population! On the roads it's a statistic of 28 per 100,000 population. Thankfully I don't live there anymore, makes you realize just how well off we are over here.

:emoticon-0159-music There's a hole in my bucket, dear Lisa, dear Lisa...:emoticon-0159-music

No roof leaks here...but one or two blocked drainpipes and remnants of tree all over the garden.

I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis 3 years ago and was told that the only remedy is time. It took around 2 years to disappear - nothing I did seemed to improve it in this time. Since it disappeared overnight I have not been troubled again. So roll on September 2015.......

As I understand it Plantar Fasciitis can be painful for us mortals, but impossible for an athlete to live with. It does have the potential to end his playing days.

The pitch at Bristol looks fine at present and it is reported that they intend to put covers on.

I know that someone might know this and I am a bit lazy to look for it.

When will the new stand be ready? (supposedly)

    Thanks in advance!
