Watford The good news for Giuseppe Sannino is that Ikechi Anya and Samba Diakite are recovered from their ankle injuries and could be in saturday's team. Park Chu-Young could also feature but Joel Ekstrand will not as he has a knee injury from the game earlier in the week. Essaïd Belkalem (Hæ það Farwest) and Mathias Ranegie are training again after a long injury respectively. Also Fitz Hall, Almen Abdi and Lewis McGugan will not play. Gary Woods, Hector BellerÃn, Cristian Battocchio, Alexander Merkel, Park Chu-Young, Tommy Hoban Middlesbrough Middlesbrough new signing Tomas Mejias Osorio is not ready and Shay Given will keep his place. Mustapha Carayol has a strained muscle and may play if he can pass a fitness test. The real worry for the locals is Danny Graham is on loan at Middlesbrough. Aitor Karanka can poosibly include Lee Tomlin, he has now finished a suspension from a game on loan with Peterborough United. Watford do have a good record against their visitors. Luckily for the locals their home form has improved a lot after Gianfranco Zola left. Middlesbrough are on a run of good results and only Leicester City have beaten them in their last ten games. The also have not scored in all the last four matches and not lost a goal in three.
Thanks ak. I have just been speaking to friends in the south of England who were in the middle of a gale and driving rain and thought that I would consider doing a thread if no one else had. I do hope that by kick off tomorrow the current bad weather will have passed Watford. Is Danny Graham the player he was when at Watford, or has he had his one good season? Barry Endean had a great year with us, but never produced the goals wherever he went afterwards. Danny was a tireless worker for us as well as scoring loads of goals, but might he be a one season man? Hope he gets a good welcome, then does nothing for them.
Nice one OFH - if this wind and rain continues I can see the game being cancelled. I am going for a 2-1 home win if it goes ahead.
Sunny where I am - will be fine. Both teams have solid defensive records (us at home anyway) so 0-0 might be a decent bet.
I read a stat that said there has never been a 0-0 between the two teams, but don't know if that is correct. Over a 1,000 tickets sold to Boro fans, so there could be some atmosphere in the ground. My 'local' team won again last night after a rocky period, so hoping for a similar win for the Horns.
the weather is expected to worsen but i can't see the match being cancelled. Great thread as ever, thanks! I can see Danny Graham having a typical ex-player day, but i think we will be defensively strong, and will manage to nick a couple too. i obviously and without question predict a 3-1 win for Watford
