    <laugh>

What a laughing stock they are going to be next season.

I suppose a positive may be that the crock of **** boy band he is in might fall apart now.

Fair play to him in investing in his hometown club that he's always supported though. They'll still be a laughing stock though.

What's more embarrassing, Hull Tigers or Doncaster Rovers having Louis Tomlinson as Co-Chairman?

We're laughing but they sold 4,000 tickets for a development squad game because Louis was playing, i imagine ladies shirts will fly of the shelf next season with all of the bands fanbase wanting to support Doncaster like him, a good bit of money in it from merchandising point of view.

BUT does he really have enough money to run a club? buy players etc? if they do a Take That and split up, then what?

By all accounts, he's no daft lad and has a team of advisers and is possibly just one of a consortium. He's also only a co-owner/sleeping partner, with the current owner still the main man.

Seems he's a genuine fan since childhood, working on the concession stalls at the ground to pay his way.

Fair play to him investing his childhood team.

    He should be Ok.

If he tries to rebrand them as Doncaster Vikings then you'll know he's totally out of his depth.

What are you basing that on? I cannot see how his singing will affect the team (apart from the extra 000's of girls that will turn up) but and I can see how his money might.

They might be s***e but he will be loaded. So, I don't suppose he will be that bothered what you think. I wish I was a few quid behind him and 30 years younger lol.

Good luck to him, he may only be there as a name to attract support or be genuinely involved. But well done.

Because a lot of football fans will think the idea of someone from One Direction running a club hilarious and an easy target for abuse.

You know, a bit like a stupid ****ing name change?

I do like the fact you cut off my final sentence which said fair play to him though.

We'll have to wait and see if the 1d drops.

There's a viking on their badge.

And it's one of their nicknames.

Young feller, shagging top table every night of the week if wants it, rolling in it, buys into the club he supports.

What's not to envy and admire?

That's it? I was expecting Doncaster to be a Norse settlement or something along those lines.

It probably is, I just can't be arsed to research very far into it.

I'd never did Vikings or any of that stuff in history, it was nearly all modern history that I was taught.

Respect to him for sticking by the club he always supported, many of us should know how that feels as we had it tough for decades.
Whatever you think of him or the club he stands by his passion.
