An entire city has been closed and on military lockdown as a man has died from bubonic plague. The city of Yumen. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...rking-black-death-outbreak-fears-9622375.html
Understandable I suppose to try to prevent the spread, but unless it involves a ring of steel with guards shooting any living creature trying to get out it's pointless since the disease is carried by fleas. Bubonic plague is also treatable with antibiotics these days, but what they will need to sort out will be their sewage disposal etc which encourages the rats which carry the fleas
what if all the ppl are trying to flea. and the command ranges down from HQ that the soldiers are to shoot any one whom fleas. Rats ! are the fleas being fleaced ? or the Chinese Government may decree , FLEAS - OR I WILL SHOOT. run I say - you are all flea.
Isn't there some evidence that at least one of the bubonic plagues in England wasn't bubonic, but something else?
It was more this sort of thing I was meaning. http://history.howstuffworks.com/historical-events/black-death5.htm "Textbooks tell us that the bubonic plague caused the Black Death. But not everyone is convinced. Since 1984, scientists have put forward alternative explanations for the Black Death. For example, sociologist Susan Scott and biologist Christopher J. Duncan claim that a hemorrhagic fever, similar to the Ebola virus, caused the Black Death. And others blame anthrax or say that some now-extinct disease was the culprit."
