My Name is Will Pownall I am Masters student at the University of Surrey and a huge football fan. For my dissertation topic I have chosen to analyse the factors which affect match attendance in English professional football and their relation to fan loyalty. I chose this topic because the club I support - Aldershot Town FC have struggled with attendance figures over the past few seasons. I know Aldershot are not alone in this struggle and my research aims to find out why fans are not attending games.

I am asking football fans up and down the country to take a maximum of 5 minutes of their time to fill in a short questionnaire. I will be sending the results of my research to football clubs in England so by doing this you will be helping English football clubs improve the match day experience for fans!

Please follow the link below to complete the questionnaire.

    Thank you.

I loved to see the results to this question...

Please State Your Opinion Regarding the Following Statement.
'I Would Rather Watch the Football Team I Support on Television Than Attend the Match.'

lol...i assume politely rather than just doing a survey, you have visited lower league grounds such as Aldershot or intend to visit other non league sides, as well has those in L1 & L2.

Without a doubt i will tell you the worst League One ground to visit last season was Wolves by far. The best a more difficult choice, the hospitality around the ground at Notts County was the best from the home supporters. Most sterile, well where do i start mainly new builds, out of town. Basically what i'm saying is you can get a consensus but if you are going to mention clubs like Aldershot, i assume you have got out there and done the leg work, you would know then it answers all your questions. Oh and stop the thieving Swine from ripping us off for £25+ a game. Overall problems a lot of clubs are not catering very well for away fans and i include my own in that comment along with the appalling scaffolding, at least our club is at last listening to cater better for away fans, with new formalities agreed for the coming season in their accommodation within the ground.

If you haven;t understood yet, where i stand in this survey can be summed up in few words....the 1992 Virus.

For me too, although I did attend the Charlton match at Loftus Road last season, which was a wonderful 60th birthday present for me - it was like coming home after so many years away and was exciting to meet so many fellow posters and share the day with the Irish R's at the Crown & Sceptre, then the match with Charlie's fantastic goal, then post match celebrations at the Coningham Arms.

I wish it was possible for me to attend more matches - at least this upcoming season more games will be shown on the various Cdn Sports TV channels, although last season I did very well for coverage with Bet365 live streams.

Yes, indeed, if he was banned on another board, could he still post here?

I completed the survey, hope it wasn't a mistake - hope the "virus" mention isn't relevant to this posting, in the "computer" sense?

Some Mod input would be most welcomed here.

I note that Willy boy has posted this 99 times, on different boards, so that likely caught the attention of the Big Brother "Super Mods"?

I banned him last night. Although i have no probs with the content, hence my own response to the survey, it has spammed the site 88 times. Threads have been removed from some boards then replaced again. The reason it most hacked me off was because i received all the notifications about the users activity in my inbox!

The links are still there if people want to respond and the user will be able to view comments in guest mode, but it just stops the posting of any more threads.

In regards to Virus i was purely talking a term i use aimed at Sky. In regards to link surveys i never go there, so if you do yourself, like any internet or email use, you do so at your own risk.

I done a few checks and it appears the users claims of a University of Surrey appear genuine. So just banned for being annoying more than anything, when trying to moderate content of the high volume posted as a newbie.

Just noticed your 'location' as being 'HELL' ................... nothing like a bit of marketing for available moderator positions.
