For years Reina was great for us. A real hero. Its a shame it went down hill.

I will always have fond memories of Pepe.

    Best keeper since Grobs! <ok>

Last year or so with us was shakey... and then there is Barca-gate... but he was brilliant for us and I wish him all the best and hope he has a nice comfy cushion to sit on for his next role!

Wish he was still what he was and wish he was still with us... but he's not, so he isn't.

Pepe is a terrific sweeper keeper and the best I've ever seen at distribution. Only neuer touches him there.

He's a great man in the dressing room too

And frankly I blame g&h for ruining the club not pepe who stayed longer, a lot longer than he might have been advised by agents and Spanish

Three 'golden gloves' on the trot says enough.

    Thanks Pepe :emoticon-0137-clapp

Top player and the best keeper we've had since I've supported Liverpool.

It's a shame the whole Barca thing turned his head somewhat as I think if that hadn't have happened, he'd still be our number 1. I'm sure that also affected his game slightly as well.

Wish him all the best, but cant see him getting much game time.

Massive respect for what he did for the club <ok>
    Top man in that sense.

Angry that he's decided that money is more important than playing - he could play for so many clubs, he's still that good.

So overall - Good job Pepe, but it's a shame you've turned out to be a money hungry fool.

He likes writing letters. Good keeper, lost his motivation and has effectively retired at 32 by going to Bayern.

Good keeper but effectively got too comfortable as had a very good back 4 plus the pace of Torres , leadership of gerrard and ball skills of alonso and mascherano in front of him. What I'm trying to say is he had at least 5 world class players in the same team

his first 4 yrs with us was brilliant, last 4-5 not so much, shame it's come to an end and you couldn't have got that form back somehow and still be playing for us as no 1, all the best pepe <ok>

  12. Very much this! Why join Bayern to sit on their bench when he could have been first choice at the vast majority of clubs? So disappointing, thought he was better than that!

Will always be grateful for his first few years at the club though, without doubt the best keeper I've seen at Liverpool and he should have had a CL medal (2007) to his name too.

    Pepe a hero?

Well that depends upon what you want from your players I suppose. Well if that pragmatic approach is all that you demand to become a Kop Hero then you're doing Reina and the title of Kop Hero a great disservice. There was always some thing about Pepe that bonded him to the team and to the crowd. He exuded the confidence that you need to see in a keeper. He 'put his head amongst the flying boots' and he made some spectacular 'stops'. He didn't shout that he was one of us - he just was.

Yes, the nature of his leaving has tarnished that relationship a little. I think it could have been handled by both Pepe and the club a little better. But in the fullness of time Pepe will take his well deserved place as a Kop Hero.

As a few are saying it all went wrong for Reina and the short ownership of H&G was a big factor in this. I wish him well but also feel it was the right time to move on.

Love Reina, especially for moments like this and really wish he was still our number one

Must admit went off him a little with the whole first letter and generally, I dunno, just his position at the club over the past few years.

If we're honest he has been inconsistent for quite a few years too, I just feel something was not right in those years - probably pissed off at how s**t our team was becoming!

But before then, when he arrived to 2009's good season, he was excellent and a real quality player and character within the first team.

Glad he's written this letter, clears things much better.

    All the best Pepe.

I dislike the way a lot of the players I like leave in not such a good way - Macca, Fowler (not his fault), Owen, Torres, Mache and now Reina.

Different scenarios but I don't love him like back in 2006/07.

    Alonso the only gleaming light.

I think every one is over looking some thing. In 2010/2011 Rafa, Torres and Riera all left. Alonso and Arbeloa had already left the previous year. The Spanish group.

Spanish speaking Mascerano and Insua left to.
